Oh he'll no would I ever go back. Bogus class schedule and spending all that to make $13/hr. totally not worth it. I can do that without that 'degree'

Be sure to show up to court if these jokers sue you. Take it to trial. A lot of times the college won't send witnesses. My case was dismissed. I don't owe these jokers a dime!

Funny, MedTech doesn't seem to have had a single complaint registered against them with the BBB or the federal government. I have also learned that a few companies in and outside of Lexington have already hired graduates. What do you folks have to say about that? It is so ugly when Tech schools sling mud and try to discredit each other.
Maybe you should look at the BBB stats for Indiana. The Indianapolis campus alone has 12 complaints, with 7 of those with the last 12 months. And their Ft. Wayne campus has had 4. This is no surprise to me, I would NEVER recommend this college to anyone!

I know the Lexington campus is just crazy, one of my classes I haven't had a teacher for almost 2 weeks now. Some person came into our class as a sub and tried to give us a test for chapters we didn't even go over. There is no organization at all, I am so frustrated right now...I paid to have a teacher teach this class and no teacher but you take my money?? Right.. should have went to bctc..

Could it be that your spelling and lack of punctuation keeps you from getting a good job? No, that couldn't be it.

I was in the same boat, and I hate to tell you but you can't sue them. The only thing you can do is file a complaint with the attorney generals office like most MedTech people have. If enough people do it, they will cancel all student loans we got through them and we won't have to pay them back and it will be deleted from your federal loan records as well. They actually are accredited, in the state of Indiana, that is why they can tell you they are, that's the loop hole. When I went through this a year ago, they told me I could move to Indiana and everything would be ok, um I don't think so. Go online to the Attorney Generals office site, print the complaint form out and mail it in ASAP!

I attend the Medtech Campus in Greenwood, IN and they are just the same. They will tell you anything to get you in the door. All they care about is the bottom line - the government money they get that YOU have to pay back When I enrolled I asked them up front about getting an externship at night because I am a single adult and work a full time day job. I was told that was no problem, when the time came they would work with me on getting an externship that would accomodate my schedule. I am halfway through the program and decided to double check on what I was told about the externship. Now I'm told that there are no externships offered at night. Also, Capstone is not offered at night (the only time I can attend)- why do they offer night classes at all if you can't finish the program on nights? They do change policies, rules and instructors as often as most of us change our underwear! They also make up rules as they go along. One of my instructors is taking the class on a field trip (a good thing right?) but the trip is during the day so I cannot atend (again that darn 'work to make money so I can eat' thing) I am to be counted as absent because I can't go. I pride myself on having perfect attendance and good grades. It's not like I'm going to be thrown out for having an absence on my record - it's the principle of the thing - I'm being punished for being a responsible adult that has a day job. They really don't care about the individual student - especially after they've got some of your money. Money-grubbing Medtech is the same across the country. If anyone wants to file a class action lawsuit count me in!

Don't know but they won't take books back even if you drop out within the grace period. Drop the unused books off, you still get a bill. Then they haul you into small claims court and demand you pay. Even the judge is sympathetic but his hands are tied by the way the law is written. It's a scam. Don't fall for it.
if you havnt opeed the books or used them they will take them back and take it off your bill people need to stp hating on medtech its an awesome school and if you can't handle the stress of school tests class work or whatever then you dont need to be in school at all stop bad mouthing what you heardtry it for yourself its not always a good thing to llisten to what your friend said happen

I left medtech and now Im at Midway College. Rules were always changing at medtech without any notice to the students. Teachers were leaving all the time, I don't know if they were being fired or if they quit. I did however get straight As but not because I learned anything every test I took at medtech was open book so I learned very little. Im at midway now and the 8 classes I took at medtech nothing transfer over.

I am attending med tech as of now and so far the experience has been good although you do have to take out loans for school and pay them off that's everywhere in this world today you have to invest in a education. I have observed that the only time it's not working out for a student is when they aren't taking the course seriously and blame everyone else for their problems. As for getting a job at the end that's not only the responsibility of the school to help but you the student as well if you don't try it's not going to happen for you so people need to quit complaining. Pay your bills and move on with your lives.
