Really? I like that it's on the actual Halloween but hate that it starts at 5. Last year was my first trick or treat in Lexington. We only got about 80 kids and none of them seem very excited about Halloween. I wonder why? It was my favorite holiday as a kid.
Where we moved from it was a BIG deal. More like a block party for every neighborhood. Adults put out lawn chairs, had food and beverages. People stopped at each house more for a visit, spent 10 minutes or so. Didn't just take the candy and go. Even the HS kids went door to door. Nobody cared how old you were as long as you had a costume. And we didn't care if you lived in our neighborhood or even our town.
I love Lexington but trick or treat was a disappointment. I wish we got hundreds of kids!
