Anyone had an experience with Motorvation? I know nothing about them and I don't know anyone that has dealt with them. Any insight about your experience is appreciated

Great place to buy a car. If your looking for a used car, I would not go anywhere else. Best prices anywhere and quality and a great service department.

Wonderful place, one of the owners Hal is a hoot. He is so funny, I've bought and so has my sister from there. All the owners at one time worked for Don Jacobs before they finally got smart and said lets do what were doing for ourselves instead of making the old man (don Jacobs) and his son richer. They have great customer service, they stand by their vehicles, no one in Lexington can beat them on customer satisfaction.

Careful when buying from them, I'm friends with a guy who worked there for a couple of years. While he was there they had flood damaged cars that they sold without disclosing that information. Always get a carfax and check to make sure the vin#'s match.

I bought a Volkswagen Passat from Motivation in February and was assured that they were putting me in the most reliable and safest car they had in my price range. Carfax report was clean but 3 months after buying it my warning lights went off and I found out that due to the fact the oil filter had never been changed in the entire life of the car (60000 miles), it ruined my oil pump, and now I'm out hundreds of dollars to fix it. As a single mom of 2, I can't afford these kind of repairs and expressed that to them when I bought it and they promised over and over that the car would last me a long time. Now I'm suck with a car payment on a car I can't drive. I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying from there but wanted to share my experience in hopes of preventing someone else from getting into the mess I'm in.

David Ries sold me a car from there about 2 years ago. The guy worked hard for me, my credit isn't great, and some other lots tried to ream me pretty good. He didn't, he was upfront about any problems, which were pretty minor, and was real professional, still driving it.

They service every car they get on the lot at their service department (which by the way does excellent work... had a break job done there)prior to selling any of them. This includes an oil change and complete bumper to bumper inspection.

Whomever told you that the oil had never been changed, or the oil filter, was trying to rip you off.

I find it hard to believe that the oil filter had never been changed in 60,000 miles. I think somebody is pulling your chain. Used cars are used cars & not all will not have a problem.

Call them. I bought an impala about 5 years ago as is. On the way home (berea) the check engine light came on. They told me to bring it back. The converter was bad. They took it to Midas and had it replaced no charge. Good luck.

Somebody lied to you or just didn't know what they were talking about. There is NO WAY that the oil filter was not changed in 60000 miles. There is a warranty on every new car that is only valid if the routine maintenance is carried out - that includes proper oil changes. It's possible, that after the warranty expired, the owner changed his own oil in the driveway and didn't change the filter very often - but I would bet dollars-to-donuts that it was changed several times before you bought it.
