why doesnt someone put all the pieces together. I think Bluegrass is one piece, Cowboys another and Ollie's and then Bill and Hill...and someday come full circle in all this? Surely there are some insiders that could unravel it all

i worked with a thornton boythat would be in his late 30's now...he always had the best car, gold chains, and a huge house...compared to the rest of us hicks at the factory...he was very well off. drove nicer cars and lived in a better house than managers. talk was he was related. did the thornton involved have kids?

Can someone help me with some information, please?

I have spent hours searching the internet and find little or nothing about this story, other than copies of Bluegrass Conspiracy for sale. I just discovered the existence of the book (and first learned of the story) by accident, as a result of Googling the name Andrew Thornton.

Why was I searching for Drew? I was looking for alumni of Sewanee Military Academy, which I attended. Needless to say, I was shocked to discover that Brad (Bryant) and Drew were involved is this matter.

I knew these guys at Sewanee - we were in the same graduating class of 1962. In fact, Drew was my ROOMMATE our senior year. Now you see why I'm so interested.

I've just read the book, and unless I missed something, it leaves Brad (on page 200) in jail in Illinois, and awaiting trial on the China Lake (California) charges. Can anyone tell me what happened after that point? Convicted again? Still serving time? Out now? Still alive? Where is he?
Not looking for contact, just curious!)

Regarding Drew... any further clarification as to what REALLY happened?(The book leaves several hypotheticals, but I discerned no real resolution.)

I would appreciate hearing from anyone with answers to my questions - either posted here, or emailed to me at [e-mail].

I lived through the 70's with Brad Bryant and "The Company" and I hope they are all dead. Bryant ruined the lives of many people and the time he served in prison isn't enough. He needs to rot for the things he did to people. His "Company" was a bunch of killers, drug dealers, and extortionists. I hope they all suffer as much as they made mine and other peoples lives suffer. If I could see him now I would like to blow his useless brains out and spit in his face. He defaced his family and used his so called friends and should be dead. I can't hate somebody more than I hate this man. He and his "Company" need to be gutted and dismembered and left to rot in the sun. Drop dead Brad and your "Company".

Excuse me,I have not read the book in several years; it was all going down before I moved here in '83, the Library lounge sounds familiar but I was never there. The ex-hub was there then and did know the Library;

Just one question, and I guess I can go re-buy the book to see for myself...wasn't there a Chandler involved, like maybe or maybe not Ben? Not wanting to slander, just seem to remember from the book a Chandler....

and know a friend who lived at Merrick and confirmed what the book said about the meetings there. Thank goodness it did not reflect on Merrick. It just shows that they ran in a circle of upscale friends...and I am fascinated by the book and the circumstances. Should not be, but local lore...no ulterior motive, just a little conspiracy buff, just find the story fascinating. and I know Valerie Honeycut is a top-rated reporter, so anything she reported is based on fact. True professional.

I was born in 1970 and grew up around some of these guys, Drew and Jimmy, and remember them being a lot of fun and treating my parents and I really well. My Father is a Doctor and hung out with these guys from time to time. He also was their treating Physician back then. It was common for them to come to our house and for us to go to theirs. I can remember a large one story house right off of Tates Creek, an apartment at Patchen Place and a house right on the Kentucky River. All the memories that I have of these men are pleasant ones and still have trouble believing what they were accused of.

Just that I remember Drew, Jimmy L., John Y. and Anita Madden being in my parents social circle in the 70's, 80's and some still are today and they were all fine fun people that were so kind to me when I was little. It was definitely fun growing up around these people. I feel honored to have grown up in their presence because I was taught about the finer things in life and how to carry myself with class and dignity. t was really educational growing up around these fine people.

Do you remember hearing about a party given by a politician for a group of young men that always hung around him? Girl was a gift to one of his buddies but got away. Couple of guys got beat up over it.
