Remember Richard M. Nixon. He hobnobbed with the mafia and even invited the bosses to the White House.
The CIA sets up operations then uses the American slugs (bad guys) to run it. But it's still CIA operations.

Here is a website that has actually police reports concerning the CIA and child abductions. This group was part of the CIA. One of the highest rates of trafficking children happens in the Golden Triangle. Someone posted on this forum that one of the members of the BG Conspiracy is now there. It's just a theory I have but it is a possible connection between the CIA and BG C.

Corruption isn't partial to either political party. Clinton was given the title "The Mob President"....http://www. freerepublic.com/focus/news/15 98954/posts
Ted Gunderson has been given much respect and credibility, so what he writes should not be taken lightly. The question is if it is true, what can the American People do about it?

The folks in the Bluegrass Conspiracy were mostly Democrats and the state had been run essentially by Democrats for decades末like many other states, particularly Southern states.

You're assuming that I mentioned Nixon because he was a republican. The only reason I mentioned him is because of this affiliation. I know perfectly well what political party Clinton belonged to. And the mob president was the nickname also used by some to describe Nixon. Sense The Finders was placed under national security and covered up by the CIA then we can pretty well figure that this is true. On top of that we have the MKULTRA victims which were all programs under the CIA research division. So there are no what if's concerning pedophilia and torture of the American people and children.
The CIA is an independent agency. It does not have to run its operations through the president. These guide lines need to be changed. There has to be complete accountability. If this can't be done then the CIA needs to be abolished. Remember Californian's were pushing for limiting the CIA's power or to dismantle it and this is the reason why.

So if the Bluegrass players were CIA, why did so many of them go to prison? It would appear anyone operative with the CIA would be exempt from any form of prosecution. How do we know MKULTRA wasn't actually a branch of the pharmaceutical industry continuing mind control experiments from WWII, and Nazi Germany. Hitler was addicted to methamphetamines and now it's all over our streets killing people every day, drugs are EVERYWHERE.

I have only seen information that Thorton could have been CIA. The others that had various CIA connections seemed to be through Thornton. MKULTRA has been proven to be CIA and that is exactly why none of them went to prison. Please correct me if I am wrong.

CIA will pay the regular person if he can do the business the CIA wants. Quiet often you will find people in foreign countries paid to work for the CIA even though they are not Americans. Basically, if these guys fall it can't be proven that the CIA was handling the operation. This leaves the CIA looking good as if they have done nothing wrong. The flack falls onto someone else. If they aren't CIA they can get caught and sent to prison. Not everyone involved may have known that it is a CIA program they are involved with. This could have been the situation with the Blue Grass Conspiracy. (even though I have a sneaking suspicion that if this was CIA most of those in Lexington would have known or figured it out. But also remember that the American people had already been introduced to Iran Contra and Oliver North and there would have been no tolerance had the CIA been caught still smuggling drugs into the U.S. All they had to do was find ego inflated patsies to step up to the plate. That's not hard to do when dangling millions in front of their noses. Another point was The Farm, being CIA run, was the perfect way for the CIA to have already infiltrated Kentucky's law enforcement.

Google government human experimentation in the u.s. It is amazing what the CIA and military have done to our own people. This doesn't even include the experimentation on citizens in other countries.

MKULTRA was exposed after the Watergate break in. Even though most of the documents had been destroyed there was some that had been missed.

from The Bluegrass Conspiracy, by Sally Denton:

".........In what police believed to be a routine drug-smuggling investigation, they seized Bradley's luggage from the conveyor belt, the attache case at his side, and handcuffed him. While he rode in the back seat of a police vehicle to headquarters, back-up narcotics officers were raiding Suite 608 at the Sheraton Airport Inn. Bradley, his cousin, Larry Bryant, and one of his bodyguards, Roger Dale Barnard, had been staying in the suite for the past week.

As it turned out they stayed one day too long.

Hotel maids had grown suspicious when they noticed marijuana smoke wafting out from under the door. The three men had refused maid service, tipping chambermaids a hundred dollars to stay out of their rooms. Each day, an individual who identified himself as "Doug Clark" paid for the rooms in cash with one-hundred-dollar bills. Finally, on January 3, 1980, the hotel manager decided it was time to call the police." p.119

".......They also found confidential pamphlets including Ten Lethal or Incapacitating Drugs Stored by the CIA and The Top-Secret Registry of U.S. Government Radio Frequencies. A complete Airline schedule for Europe and the Middle East as well as Russian, Spanish, and English dictionaries were also in his luggage.

Bradley's notebook contained the names and addresses of several former and current Lexington policemen - including Triad owners Drew Thornton, Bill Canan, and Danny Murphy - and references to planned missions named Blue Fin and Aqua. Investigators also found what they believed to be an assassination kit, raising suspicions that Bradley was involved in something other than a standard drug operation. Since Senator Edward Kennedy had been scheduled to speak in Philadelphia, the Secret Service was alerted to take extraordinary precautions.

In the attache case Bradley so carefully guarded - a tiger decal on both sides - police seized $22,800 in cash, a Walther PPK semi-automatic pistol, a two-show Derringer, a telephone scrambler, a passport, five different wallets, and pistol permits issued in Georgia and Nevada."

Can't go the CIA route with the players in this book. Their operations were in just a few states: mainly Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Pennsylvania, aside from where Bradley's cousin Larry stole the military equipment (California.)----- and can't forget the gambling rackets of Las Vegas.

Bradley and his brother Earl had businesses registered in Ky, Ga, Al, Pa and Colorado. So Bradley, his brother Earl, and their cousin Larry were pretty instrumental with the operation.

What makes it more family oriented, Bradley's sister Lynne was married to Dan Chandler. Dan Chandler was John Y. Brown's (Caesars, etc, in Vegas) good friend, and they were big brother figures to Bradley. Bradley at first worked for the state of Kentucky, and was bored with it.

Chandler and Brown then set Bradley up with Philadelphia multi-millionaire, businessman Biff Halloran who had massive oil, real estate holdings, and an Atlantic City race track. Bradley was given charge as front-man of Halloran's industrial cleaning company. That way he could keep the ownership of the company concealed for the sake of getting government contracts.

Today, Bradley Bryant shows address locations as in Savannah, Birmingham, Lexington, Devon Pennsylvania and also Chandler, Arizona where another business was registered in Alabama records in the 1990's.

This group isn't CIA. It's more than likely a well-funded, and backed extremist organization operative in the same states and with the same type mentality and motives as the Vanpac bombing situation. Probably the same group, all tied together and interwoven with plenty of "real mafia" like the Chagra brothers and others mentioned, and gambling casino people - underground.

Ms. Denton has it so well documented, it's amazing the story was covered up and labeled locally as fiction all these years.

Apparently Halloran disappeared in 1998 and is listed as a fugitive in Denton's book, but was a member of the Genovese New York Crime Family. And if that's true, and if what Denton writes is true, then the Genovese family was heavily involved with Bradley Bryant's success, businesses, and the Bluegrass Conspiracy - as well as the state of Kentucky's politics through political connections.

........''Biff Halloran, ladies and gentlemen, the Government submits, was a full associate of the Genovese family,'' Mark R. Hellerer, a Federal prosecutor, said in his summation at Mr. Halloran's trial.."

"The two men began bickering incessantly. Bradley saw himself as the brains and Drew as the brawn末a perception that Drew was apparently willing to tolerate in the early years. Though they were ostensibly equal partners, their employees considered Bradley Bryant both the president and chief executive officer.
They considered themselves invulnerable. The only thorn in their side was the Kentucky State Police, or, particularly, Ralph Ross. Drew felt assured that Ralph was not a serious threat thanks to sources like Henry Vance in Governor Julian Carroll's administration that could keep them apprised of any State Police Activity."... p. 76, from: The Bluegrass Conspiracy.

----

"...Four years later, in 1977 Lambert, John Y., and former Green Bay Packer Paul Hornung entered into a venture together in Cincinnati末a nightclub similar to the Library Lounge, which they called Trumps. Installed at Trumps as manager was Phil Block末the nephew of former Kentucky governor Julian Carroll. The financial detail of the partnership were vague...." p. 179, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

"...Right after the turn of the New Year, Jimmy Lambert was indicted by a federal grand jury in Lexington. Charged with fifty-nine counts of possession or distribution of cocaine, marijuana, or methaqualone, one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine, and one count of violating federal firearms laws, the governor's friend faced a lifetime in jail. Named as co-conspirators with Lambert were Phillip Block末 nephew of former governor Julian Carroll末and Spendthrift executive Arnold Kirkpatrick. " p. 319, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

I agree with Anonymous, the connections found between a lot of these groups are nothing more than courtesies extended from one criminal group to the other. Maybe Drew simply had a contact or friend within the CIA.

Re: Organized Crime:
The Texas Chagra brothers' narcotics organization, whose ancestors were Lebanese, were involved in massive smuggling operations and the assassination of Texas federal Judge John Wood and are mentioned in the book末 Lee being an El Paso attorney, and his brother, Jamiel "Jimmy" running operations.

"..........Through Lee [Chagra], Jimmy [Chagra] met Dan Chandler, who arranged for an $8 million credit line in Jimmy's name. Chandler also provided Jimmy with several Caesars credit cards in the names of aliases末 a mechanism that facilitated the laundering of illegal drug proceeds at the gaming tables." p. 72, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

"....The meeting of Bradley Bryant and Jimmy Chagra was a fortuitous combination of like-minded souls."...... "in 1978 the Chagras were considered by the DEA to be the kingpins in the country's largest heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and firearms distribution system. Not only did the Chagras have their own cocaine and marijuana suppliers in Colombia, a source for Lebanese heroin, and connections to Middle Eastern terrorists, but their organized-crime connections in the United States were said to be at the highest levels of the traditional La Cosa Nostra." p. 73, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

Meyer Lansky( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meyer_Lansky )of the Jewish mafia, is mentioned in the book as friends of the Perlmans, who were John Y. Brown associates:

"....Coupled with John Y's close relationship with the Perlmans, whose ties to the Lansky syndicate were under scrutiny, Ralph saw John Y.'s ownership of Le Club as further indication of his routine hobnobbing with mobsters.
He [Ralph] began to inform the FBI of his findings since it was really that federal agency that monitored relationships between public officials and criminal elements." p. 170, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

"....Police had long kept an eye on Le Club. Although it had changed hands several times, many of the same notorious individuals continued to visit while it was owned by John Y., including members of the Carlo Gambino and Lansky crime families..." p. 169, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

When John Y. Brown purchased Lum's which owned Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, he put Dan Chandler in charge of Caesar's.
".....Bradley [Bryant] had carte blanche access to the garish casino. Bradley frequently visited his sister and Chandeler at Caesars, where his every desire was 'comped.' The casino, under Chandler's reign, picked up the tab for Bradley's meals, drinks, suites, and women."....... p. 62, The Bluegrass Conspiracy

(Ft. Lauderdale)

(p. 169)
".......Ralph's investigators uncovered four areas he thought worthy of closer scrutiny: John Y.'s 1977 purchase of a Florida tennis and yacht resort notorious for its previous ownership by major organized crime figures, which was frequented by Drew Thornton and Bradley Bryant; the conviction of one of John Y.'s trusted campaign employees on charges of importing ninety thousand pounds of marijuana into the United States; the appearance of John Y.'s name in the possession of Gil "The Brain" Beckley末a lay-off bookie and racketeer famous for accepting large sporting bets from the world's wealthiest wagerers; and John Y.'s close relationship with Caesars owners Cliff and Stu Perlman, who were under federal investigation for their business dealings with associates of organized crime boss Meyer Lansky.

Realizing that most of the information on John Y. seemed to be centered in Florida, Ralph decided to take a trip to Fort Lauderdale. He paid a visit to his friends; in the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), who provided access to their investigative files. Ralph toured Le Club末the posh resort John Y. had owned located on the intracoastal waterway. Featuring waterbeds and suites of desire, tennis courts and yacht docks, thatched roofs and a gaudy discotheque, Le Club had apparently been John Y.'s center of social activity for the couple of years that he owned it. He had enlisted famous friends to sit on the board of directors, including actor Warren Beatty, singer Andy Williams, and former Green Bay Packer Paul "Golden Boy" Hornung. The mobster hideout had also become known as a place frequented by high-class prostitutes who catered to the jet set.

Police had long kept an eye on Le Club........" p. 169, The Bluegrass Conspiracy, by Sally Denton

As for Democratic connections to the mafia, Republican ties were as strong and as money chooses and elects politicians, how much mob money will elect the next president? State senators? Local commissioners? Will America become a total mafiocracy soon?

If it weren't for the "drunken crackpot," Martha Mitchell, we may never have known of Nixon's ties to the casino rackets and mafia relationships, and there may never have been a Watergate. As it turned out, Martha Mitchell wasn't a drunken crackpot at all.

She was telling the truth.

Richard Nixon was Vice President for eight years under Eisenhower so his history (and history with the mob, Meyer Lansky, Vegas, Teamsters, and the Cuban casinos) was in the making long before many of us were even born.

"....White House officials privately urged other reporters to treat any anti-Nixon comments by Martha as the ravings of a drunken crackpot......"

".....Because he shared a common enemy with Nixon, Hoffa and his two million-member union backed Vice President Nixon against Sen. John Kennedy in the 1960 election, and did so with more than just a get-out-the-vote campaign. Edward Partin, a Louisiana Teamster official and later government informant, revealed that Hoffa met with New Orleans godfather Carlos Marcello to secretly fund the Nixon campaign. Partin told Mob expert Dan Moldea:''I was right there, listening to the conversation. Marcello had a suitcase filled with $500,000 cash which was going to Nixon ...(Another $500,000 contribution) was coming from Mob boys in New Jersey and Florida.'' Hoffa himself served as Nixon's bagman.

i understand, the mafia or money know no political club! It is about the money and power it can buy. If in Ky it happens to be the democrat club, it is only that they have the power not that they are democrats a- could be republicans, independents- whatever. I did read once that only the powerless believe in political parties and the powerful keep it that way.
As for Thornton having on his person, CIA names..well it could be there are CIA connections still, I think. I think this because I had a friend in the CIA. He would be placed in jobs, sent on jobs to Vietnam but tell his wife he was going to Paris or some great place. Later, after he left the CIA they placed him in a well connected bank. As VP. He since died, but u think his OBIT said anything about working for CIA?
And perhaps for jobs for the CIA, the reason people would end up in jail is they got caught, How they gonna prove they ever worked with CIA anyway? CIA just found a replacement. Maybe even got them Arrested after they were finished?

Wealthy, connected, and affluent folks seem to have different legal and civil standards, different rules in courts and handling by law enforcement, experience different prisons and prison terms, and access more powerful attorneys than the common person could dream of.

Far too often we have the most unequal and questionable justice and governing system money can buy.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-storie...

As for the CIA and interior covert activities, former CIA director Porter Goss, who was caught with prostitutes and poker games at the Watergate Hotel, 2006, put it best when he described his own resignation as "one of those mysteries."

Truth in the USA is difficult to uncover if power, wealth, and the mainstream media controls it.

The destiny of the book, The Bluegrass Conspiracy is a shining example of how powerful folks were able to label the book as fiction, stonewall the truth, while the population at-large accepted it as fiction, simply didn't care or were too afraid of the criminal organizations involved to ask questions.
