Hey "far and away", I would think that I probably know you because we grew up around the same people and places. I was born in 1970 and my Father was a Physician that treated several of the people that you have mentioned. I can remember these guys and a couple of girls always came to our house for treatments and prescriptions rather than go to his office. I also remember some rough activity and it never occured to me when I was young just how strange these activities were, I also remember Daludid and Qualudes lying around the house and I also remember finding a small container of "white powder" in my Fathers Den. I was told that it was some kind of herbal nutrient only now I know what it was. My Father had an aneurysm and died in the early eighties when all the information about the conspiracy was leaking out. I can remember that you could cut the tension with a knife in my house when all the info on the Company was being publicized.
I wasn't going to post again but now I'm intrigued. I am a year younger than you and based on what you posted I think that we may have known each other. Did your family have an accountant who had dolphins painted on the floor of his pool? His initials were CW and his estate was near Keeneland. Are you a male who grew up in Tates Creek?

So who was the gentleman that was supposed to be "dropped at sea?" I have yet to hear anyone give the identity of this person. I think it may have been mentioned in the book, however I have loaned my copy out. What tales this individual might tell if he could be found and convinced to talk. Didn't Thornton leave his estate to Henry Vance? My, what a story this man could tell! Intrigue and deception at the highest levels of the state government! How about some of Thornton's personal friends? What was his girlfriends name. Sharp? Was that it? I understand personal loyalties and so on but, what a great story someone could write if they had another take on this tragedy.

Hey "far and away". I do remember the pool with the dolphins, i actually thought they were porpises as a child and yes I did grow up in Tates Creek. We don't own the same house anymore but we do have another home on Chinoe now. After my Father passed away right in our home in his office my Mother could not stand to live in that home any more. I remember that there were not a lot of kids my age around back then so I vividly remember the very few that I met. My parents were secretive and private so I was not allowed to associate with kids or adults that were not in our circle, so to speak. I definitely also had an "interesting" childhood and I also seen a lot of things that I was too young to know about and it has left me with reaaly bad nerves and a strong mistrust of strangers. "far and away" I hope you are doing well and I was pretty positive that we knew each other from back in the day. Chatting with you has reminded of a lot and brought back forgotten memories of my Father and Drew and Jimmy and lots of others. I wish there was some way for us to exchange e-mails because it is so nice to communicate with someone from my yputh that can actually relate to the different circumstances I was brought up in. I wish you all the best in the world and want to sincerely thank you for bringing back some much needed happy memories. God Bless you and all those you love. C.

I feel less alone thanks to you. As I said I don't know how to respond to questions about my upbringing and I've felt it necessary to validate my story to others for my own peace of mind. I knew that the accountant was somehow connected and now I have yet another piece of the puzzle. I'm sorry about your father's passing and hope that you were able to overcome that tragedy. I'd like to share my contact info with you but I also have trust issues. My father and other relatives are still alive and although I haven't done anything offensive I don't want to be a pawn if there's an existing grudge against them. So even though I have led a public life I try to make it difficult to contact me. I pop up in the States a few times a year. I married a musician who is well known and is recording an album here now. Otherwise I try to stay away from the South. If we knew each other then maybe some of this has given you a clue as to who I am and that I have prospered.

So why did they name the governor's mansion in Lexington Cave Hill? Because of the caves around it and did they connect to the airport?

there's a cave system that goes from underneath Beaumont Center all the way to the airport. Beaumont will be swallowed up in one big assed sinkhole one day. all that weight is gonna collapse that cave. I used to go caving there when it was a farm in the 70's

Thank you "far and away", it makes me feel less lonely also to know that you also understand how I feel. I have mourned and recovered my fathers death, however I still have extremely fragile nerves because of some of the things I seen and from the behavior of people I was around as a child. I have been hospitalized twice for nervous breakdowns, both times while in Law School at UK. I turned into an extremely nervous young man the more I learned about what was going on around me that I was not aware of. I can tell that you have turned into a strong, moral and successful person and I am proud of you. You rose above and you are kind of an inspiration for me to not let bad memories ruin my life. Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, it reallymeans a lot.

To Knew Them;
I too have had issues that I was hospitalized for. Both depression and anorexia took over my life. I more than experimented with drugs but luckily none took a hold on me. Finally I realized that as long as I had no involvement with my family then the past was easier to leave behind. And again I've been packing around this history that I thought that no one could relate to much less believe. So thank you for chatting with me and helping me feel less isolated. I wish that we could stay in touch. If I decide to I will post again here.

It's obvious the cops played a huge role in the company. It wouldn't be possible without them. Maybe somebody can remind me of his name, the Lexington Police chief at the time, is currently (or just recently retired) the head of EKU's heralded law enforcement program. I'm a richmond native and it's corrupt like any other small town, and I can't help but think this guy is still involved in some sort of way. Just look at the pill business in KY that nobody seems to want to stop, and look at all the FL connections with the Company. Somebody mentioned earlier one of the members went on to work for a pharmaceutical company. This former LPD chief, is well respected at teh University and throughout richmond. Do people forget he was the head of the LPD during this corrupt time?

Obviously the Company is still in KY, as well as FL, two states completely flooded with pills, and I'm sure it doesn't stop there. It's just seems like such a coincidence. Lately, Richmond has been "cracking down" on the pills, supposedly. In the last few months, they have made two roundups totaling over 100 people. These people are the bottom of barrel runners that pack 15 people in a van and head to FL; not high profile individuals. Easy pickings for the police to point at and say, "look, we're cleaning it up. That's 100 arrests". It just seems weird to me. A lot of the fake "cleaning up" has to do with political reasons and elections.

The Company stuff stretches so far and is still relatively recent history; it just seems impossible that these people are not still running things.

Another aspect to the drug thing is Mexico. There is a definately a Mexican presence in Lexington. It's a hotspot for illegals looking for work, and now a hotspot for illegals looking to take advantage of the drug market. The good ol' kentucky boys can't like this.

I'm just very intrigued by all this. I just hope I live long enough to see more info come out about the Company, but I fear it never will because of all the high profile people involved.

It's still going on because of the coverup and folks say the same ones running it then, are still running it. Just proves with enough money you can write your own laws and do anything you want and get away with it - and keep operations going on quietly.

They round up the little guys to make a show, they seldom ever get the AMERICAN kingpins, but always name the ones in Mexico or Colombia.

And this is why - they give their drug money to politicians, lawyers and judges and get them elected and they own them. And it all stays covered up.
&p= 75CBCE0A3519CEDF&playnext= 1&index=4

If they were serious about pills KY would SUE Florida for slack control of their pain clinics and pharmaceutical operations along the cocaine powdered Florida coast and all the Kentucky people's families and children they've killed and lives destroyed. The damages and costs to the state of Kentucky and its tax paying citizens is tremendous and Florida has always been known to protect its criminals.

They could have got a grip on this in the 1970's and they apparently did not want to do it. So now it's destroyed this country and broken it and its people.

The people i know who were involved have pointed to one Ricky Corman, also known as RJ Corman. At one point there was a raid done on hs farm on Jessamine Station in nicholasville in which he was forced to give up a tank that had an undetermined large quantity of cocaine in it. Tank as in army tank. He was forced to forfeit a helicopter at the same time, but never served a day. This is not pure fact, as some members of this syndicate have disputed some of this, but as far as looking for the forest through the trees this is as good as I can gather. The central players in this conspiracy were state olice, and jessmmine county sheriffs. If you go down to corman lane, oddly named, you will find a main drop off site of the aforementioned drugs. Anything else i can shed light on let me know
If it's true RJ Corman was involved in drug trafficking, then too bad Darlene Fitzgerald Price didn't win for Kentucky Senator. She's an expert in busting railroads carrying drugs although seems nothing is ever done about any of it.

British Prime Minister, David Cameron, is looking to sell Network Rail to... R.J. Corman.

R.J. Corman may have undergone stupendous (and hard-to-explain) growth, but it's still hard to see from where they might raise the money in these credit-crunch times, to buy the entire railway infrastructure of the United Kingdom, which is what Network Rail amounts to.

If the obvious answer is true, then presumably Mr Cameron would be open to prosecution for helping to launder proceeds of crime.

It's very hard to see the rise of R.J. Corman in any light other than the laundering of proceeds of crime, coupled with giving criminals effective control over a large part of America's strategic transport infrastructure.

That they should be interested -and able to contemplate- acquiring pretty well all the UK's equivalent infrastructure in one go, gives a chilling indication of how much money and power the Blue Grass Conspiracy has -and the extent to which Mr Cameron's weakness towards insular and complacent ignorance imperils the country he now leads.

It would be interesting to see if the BGC have any other branches, buying up other strategic infrastructure, such as power, gas and communications. And whether their empire now extends out of the South, across America and perhaps into Canada and Mexico.

It would be strange for them to attempt to buy transport infrastructure in the United Kingdom, unless they had already exhausted all the investment possibilities closer to home.

Your kidding me right? Does anyone here even look at how companies make money before putting them on blast. R.J Corman made enough money rebuilding the tracks from Katrina's aftermath to buy anything they want. They also have a HUGE contract with CSX for their material sales yards. They also have a complete aviation division, which maintains/repairs/rebuilds Bell Helicopters. They make huge amounts of money by supplying the service and material needs for larger, wealthier companies.
I hate Topix, everyone here is farking clueless...BTW R.J Corman is a company. Rick Corman is the owner of said company. Simple google searches people.

The issue and question is not the legitimate businesses of today, but whether R.J. Corman was involved in the Bluegrass Conspiracy, the drug running, and guns that were being moved around and shipped overseas. We will probably never get the truth about any of it, but no American should have to live in fear for asking a question or voicing an opinion, or seeking to investigate a rumor.

Topix is a gift from Heaven where little people can speak out anonymously without fear and attempt to unravel crimes of the past or present. It's the First Amendment, for those who have no other avenue, no attorneys, have no money to purchase time in a court, and/or have suffered in silent fear having been connected or having knowledge of criminal activities of the past.

It's the place where rumors come to light and the truth can surface and free many people who've lived in fear. It's the place for mourning families who've lost loved ones to the illegal drug trades, and criminal organizations.

Long live Topix!

And if R. J. Corman is and always has been the outstanding pillar of the community invested in Kentucky politics for the sake and well being of the good people of Kentucky, then........ long live RJC, as well!
