How can KSP be so heartless? There are obviously people who could benefit from the plants medicinal capabilities. Every one reading this needs to YOU TUBE the young boy who's seizures were halted after the use of cannabis oil.
His brain is finally developing again. He was basically a vegetable for years due to the nasty side effects of the 2O different synthetic meds he was taking. A worried father rushed his son to the hospital over 44 times from life threatening seizures.
First time he used cannabis oil the child went a full day without a seizure.
This incredible father has now weaned his son off all but 2 of the synthetic medications. His son shows continuous improvement over the past year with the help of a medicine the father now refers to as "miracle marijuana".

Please also do some research on cannabis curing cancer
Cannabis and turrets syndrome
Cannabis and ADHD

We have been lied to and brainwashed over the years.
Thankfully we now have access to the truth!

Do the right thing.
Support medical marijuana.

The Kentucky State Police have 0 say in the matter unless it is at the polls with their vote. If the people of KY wanted medical marijuana it would happen overnight, you have too many people too high on pills and too many people ignorant to the benefits. Largely the population is still sold on reefer madness, smoke a joint next thing you will be robbing an 80 year old woman for crack.

Never EVER underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers,eg, voters.

Also, to all these blowhard cops, the day is coming and you WILL respect the wishes of the people as that is your sole job. ;)

The state police will do exactly as they are told.
They are not in charge.

Not only that, the cops don't want to have to do the work to go fight actual crime. Stoners are an easy bust to improve their numbers on their quota.

God, all Eastern Kentucky needs is legalized drugs, 75% of the people who live east of I-75 are drug addicts, and either on government assistance or they are thieves.

Hopefully access to marijuana will give the addicts, who want to quite using drugs, the will power to do so.
The wanna be junkies will always be junkies.

All kentucky needs is to legalize drugs?? First of all bub , marijuanna is not a drug. Second of all The topic is "Medical Marijuana" So there would be no "Legalization" Only for prescription medication to patients , who would benefit 100x better than from taking oxycotton , xanex , or any other painkiller which has serious side effects and potential overdoses , which happen every day. Medical marijuanna would give so much benefit to cancer patients...mainly because the radiation pills that are supposed to be helping decreases their appetite , Makes them nauseous and is a shit-load of money...Marijuanna increases appetite , takes away the pain , No Side effects AT ALL , And just makes the world seem better...And legalizing marijuanna would actually help eastern kentucky with their drug problem! Why would someone want to take a Xanex and risk being throwed in jail or overdosing? while they could simply buy a joint with no harmful effects? And you can Use marijuanna in multiple ways , eating , vaporizing , or smoking it.

The great thing about this is the clowns at KSP have no authority to say "no" to cannabis if the ppl want it. They're just worried the line at krispy kreme will get too long once we can smoke without consequence of the law.

Wow got all of Eastern Kentucky druggies up in arms. I hate to inform you but marijuana is a drug. "A drug is a substance which may have medicinal, intoxicating, performance enhancing or other effects when taken or put into a human body or the body of another animal and is not considered a food or exclusively a food." Just goes to show, you don't know what the fu*k your talking about. Go get another hit of Oxy.

I'm from E. KY and have yet to try oxycontin, or whatever the hell it's called these days. I have, however, been an avid fan of cannabis for a few years. I'm still waiting to be turned into a thieving drug fiend. Do you think it will happen quickly like when Dr. Banner morphs into the hulk, or is it a more gradual process? I agree that it's a drug, but the way it is classified is all wrong. How can anyone believe cannabis is more dangerous than methamphetamine and heroin? That's exactly what the Federal Gov't thinks. Anyway, hopefully Mr. comer will help KY out and get some hemp legislation passed, maybe even some kind of medical law passed, I'm getting too old to trek up these hills to tend my plants...

I'm all for health benefits, but what this state needs is $$$$$$$$. We got the land, climate, and the demand. Let this state do what it already does, and we can actually put that money back into our state. So simple, but our state still thinks prescription drugs are safe to abuse because a doctor gives it to them. We'll be one of the last states to bring back marijuana. Plus, this is bourbon country. You know they don't want a safer, natural intoxicant on the market with less risks

East of I-75 in Kentucky should be fenced off and you guys can do all the drugs you want till everyone has Overdosed or killed one another. Everyone in Kentucky would be better off. You argue for medical marijuana, so you can get your hands on some cheap marijuana. Pathetic

I think your missing the point. Your off topic and more worried about people with drug habbits rather then thinking about the seriously ill.
Junkies will always be junkies.
Did you not read the very first post?
If you did, and still disagree with legalizing medical pot, then you are just as pathetic as the junkies.

Death rates from overdose in the state in Kentucky up almost 400% since 2000 and almost 60% of those from Eastern Kentucky. Get real if you think medical marijuana is going to help that. A audit of medical cards in California shows that for every one person who truly has a need for medical marajuana there are 10 people who have illegally obtained a card. If a sick person wants some weed they can get it, its everywhere already.

If the voting public ever approves of medical marijuana then the KSP has no choice but to go along with it..They're job is to enforce laws not make them if they wanted to make laws then they chose the wrong profession..I think they're biggest fear with hemp and medical marijuana is that legal recreational use will follow and then there goes the cash cow that they have been milking for decades....If the state and federal government all of a sudden told the KSP that there will be no more funding available for marijuana eradification period it's just not ever gonna be available again period would they be out spoken on marijuana?..We all know they're reasons to keep it illegal people are not as stupid as they used to be..Reefer Madness spooked alot of the old folks but it didn't have the same effect on the younger generation we tried it and guess what we didn't rape anyone or chop up little kids and it didn't make white women want to sleep with negros..
