Went there the other night. Open sign was still lit and people were still in the store so we went in. I didn't realize that closing time was 10 minutes before we walked in. One of the employees decided to be a rude Son of a Bitch. Instead of telling us "Sorry, we're closed" he looked at one of the other employees and said (loud enough for everyone to hear)"What time is it?" (even though he had on his own watch)"Isn't it closing time and people keep rolling in?". I told him "Well I can walk my ass right out of here. I've never seen someone complain about having customers walk in". Only days before, the guy I was with purchased an $800 pistol. Way to keep a repeat customer coming in.
For one thing, if you are closed, TURN OFF YOUR DAMN O-P-E-N sign. I have been into this place 4 times and have never been asked if I needed any help. One time I stood there for 20 minutes, waiting for my turn. Some black guy walks in the door and shoves in right in front of me and someone INSTANTLY asks him if he needed any help.
I had bought a few guns from the Paris store, but the Lexington store and Bud's can kiss my ass. You will NEVER get another penny from me, my family, or friends that I have told about this. Good Job.

He probably thought the black guy would shoot him for poor customer service.

You should try Classic Arms. They opened a new store off of Moore drive. Not as big as buds but plenty of staff that don't mind taking the time to help.

Classic Arms: nothing like having the people that work there come out from behind the counter and stand five feet away from you with their arms crossed, watching like you are going to steal something. This happened everytime I went into Southland Drive location. Finally got tired of that. BTW, I'm a white guy in my late 40s, clean cut.
To the idiot that said maybe Bud's thought I was browsing: Maybe if I kept walking to different cases, looking around. When you stand in front of the same case for that long it's obvious you know what you are looking for, you are just waiting for someone to take it out of the case.

buds - they are decent imo, but if they treated you crappy i'd speak to the mgr/owner and tell them who was a dousche, they might handle the person because a lot of good people need jobs, there's no reason to emply awholes.

i also like Evans on southland drive.

i also liked "thegunsite" at the bottom of nich'ville road but sadly they seemed to just disappear, if they've moved somewhere someone please post that here.

Buds (Lexington) customer service is the worst. Hence I no longer support them. Easy answer.
There are 10 other gun stores around the area and online services that will gladly take my money.

Your out of your mind the stock is there. No other shop in town has as much as they do. I do agree the service sucks.

slingblade, i mean, slingpoint.com on north new circle has some cool toys in the store but only a few,
don't even bother at their website because it lists a thousand cool toys and they haven't got ANY of it in the store when you visit, i mean they have like 10 cool guns in stock and the website makes it look like they have thousands onhand.
store is otherwise okay.

I have dealt with just about everyone there. The only exception to the horrible customer service is Jonathan. He took a lot if time with me.
But Jerry is a huge f@&king POS. I was treated rudely by him multiple times very recently.
