So convenient, and yet you do not see how childish it is. The prayer is answered, you praise your god even when that answer is that another human being did it for you because you asked them as well. The prayer is not answered and it's "god's way," because of this, you have convinced yourself that in all cases, no matter what happens, your god is working for you. Yet with that assumption, you are also contradicting free will.

Kitten you're now going on faith in Dave's words. The truth is that you guys believe in faith, but you're putting your faith into men and women. That's good for you, but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Be blessed.

Humanity has provided results, vices, and things that benefit us. Your religion has provided hatred, bigotry, and acts so vile they only exist in the human imagination. Where in the bible was the specifications for the Moon Lander? Where is the cure for polio in that "great book?" Where is the theory of gravity? Where is germ theory?

Oh, and shmeg you too.

oh but you put 99.9999% of your faith in men and women also. the one that stuck this fairy tale story in your head and told you how and who you should worship was MAN! if you had been raised in a different era or different part of the country you would be living for a different god, taught to you by a different MAN!!

And that is why I know I was blessed even before birth. Because I was born into a country where I have freedom to choose and I'm not forced to believe what the leaders do. I chose to serve Jesus. There was no fairy tale stuck into my head. I was living far apart from Him and when all of "men's" ways failed I turned to a Lord that I didn't know because I felt an unknown but somehow familiar presence drawing me. That's a miracle in itself. There are many many more.

keep the head in the sand and deny-deny-deny!!! that way your faith will never be questioned one day when u meet the little man hiding behind the curtain! i assume u know wizard of oz since u believe in fairy tales!!
you did not CHOOSE anything! you were CHOSEN to be indoctrinated into your environments beliefs by your parents, friends, pastor or other entity. you know nothing about other religions to make a logical choice. try again...

I told you one of my miracles and you did exactly what I said you would do. I will try again, and again, and again. I won't give up because "If God be for me, who can be against me"? Be blessed Dave.

Listen Dave, you sad unbeliever...
Once I had a dog named Rover. He was hit by a car and died. I prayed and prayed and a week later, my prayers were answered and the guy who hit him burned in a terrible fire. God doesn't always answer the way you want him to do. Sometimes, he just likes to surprise you.

Another time, my uncle Elmer came down with cancer. We were sure he wasn't going to make it. The doctors told us he had maybe a month. He was in so much pain. Our pastor asked that we all pray for him and we did. We prayed during every service for a month and his daughter Cathy actually won the lottery (not the big one...it was only like $50,000, but still pretty good). This is proof god was listening and god answered.

Everyone can, and will, be against you, especially those who believe in the same god you do.

The point of the scripture I quoted is that it doesn't matter who's against me because my God is for me. You made a comment earlier that I must hate my life if I want it to end. I don't want my life to end, that's why I choose to serve a living God. You choose to believe that when you die it's over kaput. That to me is just sad.

The word says we suffer with Christ, and we are also heirs with Him. Do you only reap your family and friends' benefits or do you go through hard times with them as well. And I hope you don't expect us to believe that you've never seen hard times. Also a man can be financially rich and spiritually bankrupt. You can't take money where you're going, to either heaven nor hell.

Why is admitting that we are mortal a sad thing to you? In reality I have courage to face that mortality and don't need a fancy dream to have reason to live. You do. You fear death that you want to live forever, so you buy into the fairy tale just for that one reason. I have challenged death, by living, and I always win, when I do finally die, I will have known I lived a full life and contributed to society as a whole. If you spend your time worshiping and praying to something that does not exist, then you will be unable to make that claim. If you are correct, at least I did no harm to the world, but if I am correct, you wasted your entire life.

This is the self serving lie of the religion you follow. Bad is good, and so is good. It's a fallacy, and one that leaves you cult followers free of guilt and blame for even the most heinous acts. Mother Teresa was a monster, not a saint.

Believers do see them, but the spiritually blind cant see them. But there will come a day when every eye will see.

lol, now that one made me laugh Dave. I bet if we weren't on opposite sides of this, and we came across one another on a different subject, I just bet we could learn a lot from each other. Are you from Lexington?
