I remember when I was in college and was a full time student in a very tough discipline, I was unable to get help when I thought I needed it.

I was working part time and was in school, but I was still struggling to make ends meet. I knew there was a rent assistance program downtown so I went do to see if I qualified.... I didn't.

First, they said I was male so it pretty much disqualified me. Secondly, they noted that I was not a minority so that pretty much disqualified me. They referred me to a could of churches and I was told the same thing.

As a white male, I was told "tough luck" and sent on my way.

Somehow I made it and have sense gone on to work and pay taxes, etc., but I will never forget the tough times I had and was told I couldn't get help because I was a white male.

Honey, no one is going to send grown people money... children, maybe. Grown adults - hell no.
And by the way, ramen noodles are like 13 cents a pack - cheaper than dog food - jus sayin...
