isn't is way too early to be wishing people 'merry christmas'? with the way christmas is so commercial these days, pretty soon we'll be having x-mas sales all year around. it looks like a week near the end of the year and in july would be enough. i mean, holy cow people, it really isn't even your holiday, you stole it from others, but now it's sacred?

What amazes me is just what do some of these posters hope to achieve? I have wondered about people like this for nearly 60 years now, and still can't come up with an answer. Why would anyone try to convince everyone that there is no God, no Jesus, no heaven? Just because they don't believe, is it reason enough to try to be the cause for everyone else to be damned for eternity? I personally believe, and pray that there is something after this life, and hopefully by the grace of God, I can enter into that life. But, if there isn't, what have I lost? What is there to be gained by not believing? Living like a bunch of savages with no morals? No worries at all between right and wrong? But, on that final day, just what happens if I'm right and they are wrong? Who's lost what? And for the person bragging about having prayer taken out of the local schools, really, how did that help? Rather than bragging about it, I'd be ashamed to let anyone know. I can think back when I was in school, we said a prayer every morning, however simple it was, and the Pledge of Allegiance and yes, it is one nation, under God, and I'm quite sure that the situations in schools then were decades above what we have let things slip to now. I am a Christian, I don't plan on forcing you to become one, but, if I can be some assistance to you I would be glad to help. But, believe me, you will not force upon me your lack of religion, or whatever religion you choose. People have fought and died for the freedom to worship the way they choose and if we let a few rule the masses, it's time for this country to hang it up. With all the religion bashers, ACLU, and other hate groups, we are in for a bad day!

so then what yu re claiming then is that one has to be xtian to have morals and only xtians know the difference between right and wrong. this is the type if arrogance that burns my ass about you people. you think that because you're xtian that you have the monopoly on who's right and who's wrong. if this is the case then most of the people on earth are wrong and going to hell as you like to believe! get a grip you're in the minority!

we don't care if you believe or don't believe, that isn't our point. the point is that you are forcing people to acknowledge your god even if they don't believe in it. your forcing us to accept tokens every day with "in god we trust" emblazened on it, your forcing us to acknowledge your "one nation under god" if we chose to say the pledge of allegiance. that's not right! freedom of religion also encompasses the right to not worship any religion, so when you lay off forcing your religion on us, we'll quit trying to rid the usa of your religion. doesn't that seem fair?

Excuse me, but where did I say that? Without any supreme being, wouldn't we act just like other animals? Us people? Who, the one's with some morals and beliefs? I'd much rather be in that minority that the objects that you try to make humans out to be. And no where did I say anyone, even you, were bound for hell. Why are you so full of hate and anger? If you don't like it, move out of my country, go to Iraq and worship the way you wish. Quit taking our government's money, instead of drawing your check, get out and work for barter. Nothing is making you accept money, nor pledge anything to this nation (which is pretty obvious that you contributed nothing to)

All I did was refute what you were claiming in your post. You likened those of us who aren't xtians to a bunch of immoral savages. read your post, you said it. god doesn't like liars either. that's another issue, you guys can spin your religion to accommodate your every wish whether it's moral or not. abused any altarboys today? I dont torture puppies and I'd rather hang out with a bunch of puppies than crossers.

What is there to be gained by not believing? Living like a bunch of savages with no morals? No worries at all between right and wrong? But, on that final day, just what happens if I'm right and they are wrong? Who's lost what?

Know what question marks mean? Now again, where did I spin anything?

I dont believe in your god yet I have plenty of morals and know the difference between right and wrong. Your arrogance manifests itself in the idea that your god is the only one! news flash it's not even the oldest one!

hey "Why" you are wasting your time on this dude, he is a radical left wing Socialist, his ancestors are from the old East Germany, he is a german and has been living here for years. I have yet to read anything on here that he has said that makes sense, the guy is a total Socialist/Communist and atheist and you won't change his mind, he's a hateful arrogant person who loathes what our country stands for and wants a secular atheist socialist society. He'll go on and on, I try not to even bother talking with him anymore, he is a hopeless case of Communist hot air

you really must be conceited and fairly stupid. i don't want to worship in iraq or anywhere else. why would you think you're any better than a non-believer? it sure isn't your country any more than it's mine. just because i don't agree with your ignorant self centered belief system doesn't mean i have to move. read and learn, the laws protect me and my right to not believe in your stupid fairy tale life style. you're the one that started the condemnation of others with your morality judgements and such. the law provides for freedom of religious persecution and you're the person persecuting others on here. trying to take the moral high ground because you believe in a stupid fairy tale doesn't cut the mustard. people can and do have more morals than most christians. morality isn't related to your religion. it's been proved many times by your religious leaders. they're just leeches.

there you go again oozing crap of which you know nothing about. I never said that I want a secular socialist society. see, the problem here is that you're so wrapped up in your own version of what this country should be that you fail to see anything else. Yes my immediate family was from the part og Germany that turned into the DDR after the war. It was all one big Germany before then. If you knew anything about world history I wouldn't have to explain this to an idiot like yourself. I happen to believe in social services for those who cant afford the luxuries of the middle and upper class. I'm by no means a communist because you're too dumb to know the difference between communism and socialism. go back to civics or government class and pick up some education, sonny! you're a friggin idiot joke!

Okay - unscientific - that's where I disagree. When you can tell me where the first matter came from, where energy originated and the first life came from, using science alone, then you can talk about faith being unscientific. Until then, to ascribe to the concepts that matter came from nothing and life from non-life, that, to me, takes a greater leap of faith and flies in the face of science itself. "Once upon a time, there was a "big bang." "Daddy, where did the Big Bang come from?" "Ummmmmm... I'll get back with you."
Well before Id shove some made up story about "god" and how he/she/it decided to just Poof! and blow things into being at him I would share some scientific facts about how planets are formed and how humans evolved...which can be factually PROVEN. The only thing Christianity can prove is that Jesus existed. And? He was an overzealous religious NUT who was put to death. Just like other modern day sect leaders have been (David Koresh, anyone?). He didn't suffer an extraordinary death...he was crucified right along-side two other men that day. It was a common method used in those times. Some were even hung upside-down. THAT is MY belief and I have a right to say it just like christians have a right to say what they want. So why do I get accused of "attacking"?

No one ever touched the subject of shoving your false gods (i.e. Santa and the Easter Bunny) down your kid's throats either. How convenient for everyone to skip right over that. This whole post is to defend blasphemous traditions...it's sort of funny when you put it all in perspective.

Everyone here who thinks that God simply doesn't exist just because you don't believe...or believes that there is more than one God, You need to make very very certain that you are sure in what you say, because one day you may have to very well answer for those things. Yes, Jesus was put to death, but He also was resurrected from the dead, his tomb is empty. Being a Christian is not about judgement or hate...although unfortunately that is what many people have used it for...being Christian is about love. The love that God has and has always had for us since he first breathed life into us. Its about the love that God has for us to the point that he sent his Son to teach us, to die in our place for our sins, and to prove how powerful He is by coming back from the grave. Its about the love that God has for each and everyone one of us regardless of whether we believe in Him or not. However its also about the love that we should have for Him...a love that should fill us with joy, happiness, and contentment even when the world seems to be crumbling down around us. Its the love that we should be so filled up with that we want to obey his commandments so that He can live through us. Its about the love that we should be so filled up with that we wanto share and show those who are around us. One day we will all be facing the consequences of our actions...EVERYONE will have to answer and those who never accepted him as Lord and Savior will have to face the consequences. You might ask how do I know there is a God? I know because I have felt him, I have seen him, I talk to him everyday and he listens, he has spoken to me through various ways, I have seen healings and answers to prayers that can not be explained. Situations that once seemed impossible were worked out to just trivial matters. Please be very very sure that you know what you are saying when you speak against God in such a way.

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Pisces

Whether the excesses of the past few days are catching up with you or you're feeling drained for other reasons, you need as much rest as possible today. Once you get tired, your defenses will be down and you'll start to fret about whatever is currently nagging away at the back of your mind. You're also concerned about the welfare of a certain person, which doesn't help.
