I'm a single mom of 2 girls ages 10 and 13. I received custody of my 8 yr old nephew last month and I have unexpected expenses. I work very hard for my children, but find myself more strapped than usual especially with Christmas approaching. A lot of my money has gone towards supplying my nephew with practically everything since he had barely nothing. I haven't received any money since I've had custody of him, so it has made finances more tight. I am overwhelmed with stress trying to figure out how I will be able to provide a decent Christmas for these kids. I have sought out assistance in programs all over the state, but found out that I am too late and have missed the deadlines to sign my kids up. I am now reaching out to a public forum to ask for help. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. This is not something I would typically do, but I have to try any possible avenue. Maybe there's someone out there who will feel generous enough to extend a helping hand this holiday season for a family in need. I don't want to give out my phone number on Topix, but I can provide an email address that I can be contacted through. My email address is dagr8tergood@aol.com . I don't have a home computer, but I will check my email regularly from the library. I would appreciate that people maintain a certain level of maturity and compassion when responding, my life is difficult enough.

I would suggest that a "decent Christmas" would be volunteering at the Hope Center and helping others in truly desperate need.

Perhaps baking a meal or even cookies or a cake for a neighbor or loved one to enjoy.

Attending your church or place of worship and learning some of the true, non-material meaning behind Christmas.

A truly "decent Christmas" gift would be teaching your children and your nephew that selfless acts of kindness and giving bring true joy and lasting friendship - not to mention appreciation - for others.

Sure, the greediness in all of us wants a truckload of presents under the tree, but does that really bring happiness? Nothing replaces love, kindness and an open heart.

Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ - how do you think He would define a decent Christmas?

Go to the salvation army or something. Dont come on here asking hard working people for money and help. Bums like u make me sick. Theres probably not an ounce of truth to that story. Does anyone know how many scams happen this time of year. Please, nobody fall for this. If she truly needs help there are places she can go. Stop bumming on here when people work hard for their money to supply themselves and their family. Not yours!!

Like I had said before I was too late to sign up for any assistance. I actually work 2 full time jobs so I'm no bum. It's nice to know that humanity has gotten to a point where people are made fun of due to life struggles. Way to go buddy, good job. Obviously you have no children and have fell on hard times, so you have no IDEA how difficult it can be. And how do you explain to any child at Christmas that Santa must have forgotten them this year because there is nothing to give? I honestly didn't expect people to hand anything out willingly, but I would try anything in order to get them something. So if anyone is serious please feel free to contact me, and if not then just keep your judgments to yourself.
Well

Tell me how I can help. I am a momma too, and know the pressures involved and the joy in seeing a smile on their innocent faces.

If being paid for sex isn't prostitution, what is your definition of it?

It's not sex. It's just a bj. Plus even if it is sex but just once then it's still not prostitution unless u keep doing it and making a living from it

Then feel free to contact him and do it, since you think it's perfectly fine. I don't do sexual favors for money, and yes it is considered prostitution.
