I need a nice apt in a safe area. Where should I look, where should I avoid?

I lived at Raintree Apts off N Locust Hill for 3 years. Loved it! Maintenance couldve been a bit more prompt but location + price + amenities is great. Indoor and outdoor pool . Hot tub, gym, clubhouse, etc.. Call and ask for Tiffany. I think she's still the manager. You have everything within walking distance including Kroger, Fitness 19, lots of restaurants, Wal Mart, and shopping.
Avoid anything near Winchester Rd , Versailles Rd, and Eastland Parkway. Theyre super cheap but there's a reason for that!

Lived there too. Not a bad place, but priced about $75-$100 a month more than it should be.

It's a good place to live. Also there are some duplexes across from heartland roger that are a nice size and great to live in! Anything in that neighborhood won't have tons of trash if you know what I mean.

The apartment complex on Duke Road is filled with a bunch of Pillbillies. One depressing environment to say the least.

LOL, lived there too! I know it seems wierd but I am one of those people that moves at the end of every lease because I just can't stay in one place and I certainly can't commit to buying a house.

Yes, the Raquet Club was one of my favorite places to live. The staff and maintence is probab;y the best I've experienced and their club-house amenities can't be beat. The negatives is their appliances - they only replace them when they finally quit working and can't be repaired. While it's smart for the business its bad for the resident. I had an old (I mean old) fridge. As you know, older appliance aren't energy efficient -it ran constantly to keep its old compressor cooling and put a pretty hard hit on my electric bill. That's my only complaint.

Depending where you want to live our babysitter stays in some apartments off Duval street which is right off tates creek and man o war. No clue on price but I know off Duval they have duplex's for rent, my wife and the sitter looked at some last week, 3bedroom 2 1/2 bath for $900 so not bad.

Loved living at Bridle Creek! Great management and my only complaint was some of the people with large dogs were lazy in cleaning up. Apartments are great size.

We will be moving to Lex in a couple of weeks and need a short-term lease until we find something permanent. Is the Mansion a good apartment? It is close to where I will be working.
