I don't know if you all heard, but Steve Danaher passed away on October 15th. I kind of thought the people who were fans should know.

I am writing with profound sadness and sympathy and condolences for Steve and his family at this time of loss. Steve was great guy, a gentle soul who never had a cross word for anyone. Even if some deserved it. Steve forgave and told a joke instead. That was Steve's way. Always quick with a smile and a handshake. One of my fondest memories I have in life will always be when we were on the road with Tara Thunder on our way to Key West Florida for a string of gigs on the east coast. We drove from Lex straight through to Key West. Steve had us all laughing hysterically with his narrative of some racy magazine articles. Of couse he changed the wording to make us all laugh until we almost had to pull over. RIP Steve Danaher. You will be sorely missed. Sincerely, Larry Ellington,Las Vegas, NV. Guitarist, Tara Thunder.

I have heard many many stories so good-- some could have waited till college to hear...:) but all funny. And he always said that his nick name was " Swanson". Hahahahaha.

I have been witness to the same things you have written Larry. Steve never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was always the bigger person and would deflect anything negative that was said. I have said it before and will say it again, I am glad I was able to share the time around him that I was fortunate to have and was blessed that our paths crossed and I am a better person for it. I will miss our fireside chats and the jokes and humor that we both enjoyed sharing.

Hello all this is Matt the drummer for Tara Thunder I didn't know this was here. I've read the comments and I was completely shocked to learn of Steve's passing. Anthony told me after it happened. Steve will be missed as a friend, father, and a great bass player the best I've ever played with, God Bless his family

Wow...I just heard of Steve's passing...breaks my heart! What a wonderful, warm-hearted and funny guy. When I was married to Dan, Steve always provided a shoulder for me to cry on and could always manage to make me laugh. He will be missed for sure. R.I.P. Steve. I'll be praying for his daughters.
