Dixie Cup is a great place to work my man works there, back when it was Dixie and not georgia pacific it was really good they had shares of the company they used to have picnics at kings island and christmas parties for the kids up until this year, just like any factory theres alot of gossip, but if you keep your nose clean and not get buddy buddy with them people you'll be alright, and they random drug test so I wouldn't do any drugs cuz its not worth losing that good job, pay starts for a line worker at 14$ and they have other positions thats 15, and 20$ usually nobody ever quits out there they usually die off or retire. It is a good job especially in these hard times.

It'll only cause a divorce if the spouse finds out!

I was told that someone did not get to return to work after New Years. Does anyone know if this is true? Does anyone know why they wouldn't get to return to work?

If you work there, you won't have much family time. Work comes first, everything else comes second. No vacation until you been there a year, no sick days, no personal days. and you are only allowed to miss 6 days.

I used to work there for an outside contractor. Used to be called Fort James and it was great back then. Georgia Pacific bought it and it went to hell. Now days it may "seem" like a good place to work but nothing like it used to be. The management are a bunch ofuckingidiots. There used to be a guy there named Dimico or something like that, he was the plant manager...firstclassprick and idiot.
I find it hard to believe the place is still open because Dimico tried his damnedest to run in the ground.

Well that's how it should be idiot!! If u wanna work for a place then u work. I'm tired of all these people where I work always calling in for dumb reasons or saying they gotta leave early to take their kids here or there. That's ur prob to deal with when u are off work. Now where I work...u dont get vacation til after 1 year but u also do get personal days too. We get 3 personal days in the first 6 months of the year and 3 for the second half. No one should ever have to call in more than that. I have been working there 14 years and I have only called in 1 day. I've never used a personal day since I've been there. Yet I have other guys who have already missed 2 days since jan 1st. That is ridiculous. If u wanna work somewhere then the job comes first. They are paying u to work for them so u need to be there when they need u or tell u to. U don't call in bc u have a headache or something dumb. The only reasons a person should call in are if they are physically injured or sick or in hospital and cannot physically get to work, or if someone in ur immediate family or parents has died or ur spouse is having a baby or something where u absolutely have to be there. Otherwise u are to be at work.

One of my guys called in one day last year bc his son was sick. We were short on people and got behind. So the next day when he comes in, my manager wanted to talk to him. He asked him why he wasn't there. He said his son was sick. My manager asked if he had to take him to the hospital. He said no. So then my manager says..."I don't care then. U should have been here. Better not happen again." It was great bc that's how it should be. His wife could have taken care of the kid. Too many lazy people these days with poor work ethic. They act like they are still in school calling in missing as many days as they can just to get off work. If u don't wanna work then stay home and starve. Don't go get a job somewhere then start calling in every other week

There must be some truth to that. My husband has been there 4 days and I overheard him tell one of his friends about the women that work there and that he has a supervisor that is in his face every 5 minutes. He wore his wedding ring only on the 1st day and only had two words to say to me. Thats hey when he get home and bye when he leave.

It is, unless you are accidentally injured. Then you are fired.

The reason they don't wear rings is because of injuries. As for the rest, I really don't know!
