I'm just wondering what captures a guys attention. I am in no way a prude, but I am definitely not a "put yourself out there, basically wearing nothing, easy woman". I'm 24, I'm physically fit, and I'm in no way trying to sound vain AT ALL...but I'm told all of the time that I'm beautiful. I'm also sweet, funny, kind, hardworking, have a great job and go to college, etc. Why do men tell me I'm beautiful but they never ask me out? I know I'm asking on topix and I expect rude comments, but I'm just curious. Friends said, "oh guys are dumb". But I don't get it? Also, I am not a druggie whatsoever.

PS: I don't have a bird face...I thought it sounded funny for a name.

Hm idk. A lot of times guys think that if a girl is too beautiful that she's out of their league and wouldn't be interested. Some guys just don't have confidence to ask. But from the sounds of you, well you have definitely captured my attention and sound like the kind of girl I'd like to find! Lol

I too came across a talk show that said guys are afraid to ask pretty girls out. They also gave advice to the guys to ask a pretty girl out for that simple reason.

Yeah, true. I know it's lame...but I have been too shy to ask guys out. I'm easy to get along with and down to earth, but just don't know how to come out with it I guess. Doesn't help that 99% of all of my friends are married/starting families or they've moved away, so I don't go out to clubs or anything. I am very interested in a guy who comes into my work place, but I don't want to get in trouble by asking him out. Where I work I must be professional. Blargh, haha.

Usually just a matter of putting yourself in a situation that implies you welcome meeting new people. If you see someone you like to have a conversation with you might only need to say hello first to give them enough of a green light to have a conversation..

if your beautiful maybe they just assume you already have a boyfriend. who knows. but if you described yourself accurately then you shouldnt have a problem finding a decent guy to go on a date with
