A car heading toward Nicholasville was in too big of a hurry and almost hit a semi turning into the BP so he had to swerve over and hit another car head on that was heading towards Lexington. That car was driving way to fast! I hope everyone is ok!!

Six people, including two children, were transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital on Tuesday evening following a multiple-vehicle wreck near the intersection of Catnip Hill Road and U.S. 27.

Nicholasville police officer Kevin Grimes said a semi truck traveling north attempted to turn left into the BP station when the driver of a car heading southbound swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting the truck.

Grimes said none of the injuries were life-threatening. The accident forced the closure of southbound U.S. 27 for around 45 minutes. Southbound traffic was diverted onto Catnip Hill Road. One northbound U.S. 27 lane remained open
