Why has the city management not banded smoking in public here in Monticello? Most states and citys here in Kentucky have done this but I guess some of our city officials must be smokers. Why is Monticello always behind everyone else in this country? I would like to go to eat or shoping and not smell the stink. Dont you know about 80% of people suport this?

Most restaurants and business are already nonsmoking. Its your right to choose weather to go or not. It's should be up to the individual owners to decide weather or not to allow smoking.
I don't like yellow cars let's ban them.

Yellow cars don't kill people simply by being around them like second hand smoke does. Smoking is the dumbest things anyone could ever do. Purposely putting smoke and cancer causing chemicals in your body for basically no good reason. Can you say LOSERS!

Yea we can say loser to all the close minded folks that we are forced to live around here in Monticello.. They should really worry about changing something a lot more important then a little but of smoke.. So good luck to all you who think smoking will ever be banned..

No one is making anyone go to a restaurant or business that allows smoking. If you don't like it choose to go somewhere else. Like I said most restaurants are smoke free already by the owners choice and I can't think of any shopping place that are. I've haven't seen anyone smoking inside of Walmart or Kroger or any other business anyway. Why do you insist that you and your wishes are better than everyone else's. I agree smoking is bad for a person but it's a personal choice.

Putting cancer causing chemicals in your body. I wonder if you use lotion? Maybe shampoo or conditioner? These things have cancer causing chemicals in them that are designed to quickly penetrate the skin.

I know it's a bit unrelated, but c'mon. Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black?
