<quoted text>Doctors should practice medicine NOT LAW!!! When a patient has symptoms of pain that would require a pain medication then they should write it. Not worry about the dreaded "talkof monticello"!! It isn't the doctors fault if people abuse sell or take their medication Doctors are SUPPOSE TO BE healers. And thry are suppose to be soothers for those that are in pain and misery that can't maybe be healed. THEY ARE NOT BABYSITTERS! SO DOCTORS get your head. out of yours butts and help those that are in pain that goes to all MONTICELLO DOCTORS
amen!most doctors these days tend to judge on first sight.I am very sick and need medications that allow me to function and play with my granbabies but it is easier for a younger person to get medications for some reason. If anyone could let me know of a good doctor please let me know.thank you.

you would do better getting your drugs off the streets instead of trying to coax md's into giving you a script....

I find it hard to believe your statement that younger people get drugs quicker than old people? a dr will typically do their job within their boundaries.

Seriously, you just said that? So the possibility of going to jail instead of being honest and having PROOF of a medical condition in your hands to show to a potentially new doctor isn't reasonable enough of an option? You're telling someone to buy off the streets?

Anyone who has legitimate pain CAN provide proof. They'll have records and such already faxed through for the doctor to look at. Even if you're a new resident around here, it's not hard to have your records transferred over. A little leg work and a few phone calls, that's all it takes for a new doctor to see your past history and decide if you need prescription pain management or not...

If you've got no past medical records to back your tail up, then chances are an Advil is all you probably need anyway.

Lord have mercy.....

Absolutely correct. And they can tell when someone is lying in most cases as well...

For that matter, when you go to a doctors office yourself it's not hard to tell when someone is legitimately there and/or in pain or not. I've seen countless people limp in like they were at deaths door from unbearable pain, then walk out straight up as a stick without a missed step because they're pissed at the doctor for denying them pain pills. And I've seen it more than once around here, LOL!

We liked Dr. Mosley. She had just been there a less than a year. What is going on there said she resigned. She would sit down treat you like someone and explain what was going on with you and how the meds worked as well as how to use them properly.

Dr. Richard Mayer is not only a good docter but he will listen to you and try to find out what the problem is. And He will keep trying till he does find out. But first and formost he is a good religious man and if I am sick I want a good docter with God on his side. He actually spent almost 2 hours in his office with me and my husband and if he had not have taken that time I don't know if I would be here today. He is a man of God and believe me God works though him. I would recommend him to anyone. If he don't have the answers to what the problem is he will sent you to someone that does. All I can say is thank God for him.
Tell me what God has to do with him being a good doctor? So if a doctor is not receiving instructions from God that doctor is not any good. If you were in need of a doctor and it was a life and death moment would you ask if that doctor believes in God. Do you think God tells a doctor how much or what type of medicine to prescribe you? If God makes and provides guidance to good doctors does he also make and provide guidance to great basketball players to? Does God tell the ball player when to shoot the three.
The reason he is a good doctor is because he is smart and works hard same for the ball player.

There was a woman Dr. Mosley she seemed real knowledgeable. She explained everything in great detail. She took her time with you. She was there less than a year and gone. They say she resigns . It sad they can't keep good Doctors.

If you haven't noticed, most of the medical drs. are DOs, not MDs,
at Monticello Medical Assoc. There's a HUGE difference in the type of medical education that that these doctors receive. Check this out before you select one to treat you!
Why don't you tell us the difference between osteopathic and allopathic medicine. I'll even settle for your identifying which degree goes with which type of medicine.
