Does Dennis and Joey or Brandon still work as loaders at McLane Cumberland? I worked there in 05 and a little in 06 before moving and was wondering if they were still loading?

let me tell you the truth. mclanes is a fine place to work, if you complain it is because you are not wanting to work in the first place. i drive there and the work is good , benifits are great. there is not another debt free company around that macthes your 401k 2 to 1 . so quit crying. if you work at mclane cumberland you are blessed.

i worked third for years lost my job cause i had no sick time and i called in cause issues with my elbow, i wouldnt have been able to drive the fork lift. i actually miss the place it was a great place to work. just curious if anyone knows if they rehire people?
I worked there for a short time and it wasn't a really bad place to work at all. Everyone there was really nice and they don't talk down to anyone. If they do rehire, I'd love to get my job back as a freight handler. I had a family emergency which is why I was fired. As long as you do your job safely and keep up with rate, you're going to keep your job. I would also like to know if they rehire.

The company may not be terrible, but some of the workers are. And day shift supers are abusive and bullies. A good friend works there and gets harassed daily because he is gay. He doesn't flaunt it, as a matter of fact, he doesn't even bring it up, but these assholes make his life miserable. He has been there over 20 years and gets treated horrible and is verbally abused by employees and manages. And what pisses me off the most is that his so called friends tuck their tails between their legs and won't defend him. Mclanes ignores the problem daily. The funny things is, most of the "men", and I use that term lightly, that abuse him, claim to be Christians and go to church. It's ok, their day is coming. I got ur names guys. Maybe we'll have a good ole fashion come to Jesus ass whoopin real soon. As for Mclanes, my advice is to go back to school and make a future for yourself cause you won't find it here.
