What part of my response doesn't make sense? Who are some of these legend coaches you are talking about and why aren't they coaching anymore? There was one young player that had two grand slams in two innings this year. 10 rbi's in one game. Name the last time that happened. Name me some of these great players that you keep talking about that were coached by the Legends. How come the league fell apart 2 years ago if the coaching was so good? Were some of the "Legend" coaches responsible for thousands of dollars missing from the league? The 8 and under all star team has played in three tournaments this year and seems to be doing pretty good. I think the league is doing ok. If you think things are so bad why don't you apply for a coaching position. Maybe you will be the next "Legend."
its sad !

The fact that you sound idiotic and don't know what your talking about. First off I'm not naming players names on here because i don't think there name should be put on this drama site. Second, two grand slams and 10 rbi's cool? I guess. I don't really care. But the fact that it couldn't be hard to do because you don't have good pitching there. Anyone can hit a slow pitch pitcher. The legend coaches aren't up there anymore because they were up there forever and either are tired of the stupid crap that goes on or the awful trashy people that stays up there. The league fell apart two years ago because the president was tired of the crap and then the city took it over. The men that I'm talking about had nothing to do with the thousands of dollars that are missing from there. And no I don't want to apply for the coaching position because I can't stand to watch it be so pathetic.

Well of course the whole 2 grand slams and 10 rbi's are probably your kid and your trying to make them "great" and also their coaches

The fact is the league does have a few idiot parents just like the league did when you played and before you played. Any youth league will have these type of parents although it is a small minority. I know the reason the City took the league over and it isn't worth discussing. The bottom line is the girls have a place to play softball and have some fun, Some girls have a lot of talent and some girls play just to participate and hang with their friends. I realize there have been some good players in the past and there are some good ones now. Same as coaches. If you are so caught up with reliving your playing days and complaining because you came to watch them play ONE time, go for it! It has been an honor to have a discussion with a former "LEGEND." I wish you would come to the field and let some of the players and parents get an autograph. Bring some of the former greats with you, maybe they could give a few tips.

The whole fact of if is that the high school won't have anyone to be able to play for them and they might have to get rid of softball in the schools because of the lack of talent. I understand the whole participation and hang out with friends thing. But they could do that and still learn and be great ball players. I also know why the city took over and I know the real story so yours is probably from someone else and isn't right. I have gone up to the hill many Saturdays this year that's why l can say what I did and will. And yes, I know for a fact these "legends" have given lessons to many teams before. But I know what I believe and apparently others agree with me. However, I'm not going to further this conversation with you. Guess we will see in the future how great these new coaches and players do.

No I don't think you do know about the city taking it over ! They didn't take it ! It was handed over to them ! Know your facts and get it right before putting lies on here !!!!!

Volunteer and help some of these girls learn to play the game. It would be great to have a former star showing these girls how to play. Do you really know why softball was handed over to the City? Maybe it was handed over to the County. Does the County not have anything to do with softball?

I have many times volunteered. Yes I do know why it was. And it's the city not county.

Just what I thought! There is no reason to carry on this conversation because you don't have any idea what you are talking about. The softball league is under the control of Nicholasville/Jessamine County Parks and Recreation. Did you notice the two words Jessamine County? The JESSAMINE FISCAL COURT purchased the land that the fields are on in 2003 or 2004. Not sure of the exact date. The girls wouldn't have had a place to play if the Fiscal Court(County) hadn't purchased the land. The Parks and Recreation department is funded by the City and the County. The County annually gives more funds to the Parks department and has spent more money on youth leagues than the City. The City does a good job but doesn't have the money the County has. Check the record. If you have volunteered so much, how come you have not made the girls the Star that you were? You evidently have know clue what you are talking about. After you grow up and do your homework we can discuss this issue some more. Check the record and feel free to come and help with softball. The girls and the City and County would appreciate learning from a "Legend."My daughter is one of the girls that doesn't have as much talent as some of the girls and probably will never play high school ball, but she enjoys the game and loves her coach, I'm so sorry she hasn't had the opportunity to be coached by a "Legend." Maybe if she had the opportunity that you had, she would be playing professional softball.
