I don't know who it was, or who's fault it was, but my god was it funny. Coming home around 4:30 I seen the lights right after my turn to the apartment. When I seen it was to of Georgetowns finest I laughed all the way down the road.

Amazing how quickly they responded, shut traffic down , and removed the embarrassment of two destroyed tax funded machines. Where is this action when it's two normal motorist who get in an accident?

New police station and jail? Nah, spend that money on driving lessons for your officers Scott county!

DESYphotojoke, what you've just said... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in Georgetown is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...

Typical uneducated and/or ignorant person that posts on this. Not only did the wreck take an extended time to clean up, they waited for a state trooper and a commercial vehicle officer to come from their homes to investigate the wreck so that there would be no question as to the agency doing their own. Ignorant moron. You will be the first person annoyed when they don't run quickly to you when you scream on 911 for help.

So your great heroes followed policy after the fact of recklessly running thru an intersection without confirming it was all clear? That could have just as easily been a car with a child in it! Choke on those facts

You are going to have to choke on your own assumptions about the recklessness. Four independent witnesses wrote statements that the officer sat in the intersection with his lights and sirens going for over 20-25 seconds. The sod works driver, whom failed to have brakes on his 6,000 pound trailer, changed lanes around the stopped traffic and accelerated to beat the red light after it had turned yellow. Another witness told the news that it was obvious that the pickup truck driver was reckless. I was standing behind the camera when he said it.

Your so full of shiz. If a cop set in the intersection with lights on for 25 seconds (making sure it was clear) then he should BE FIRED for being useless as hell! I could clear an intersection on a bicycle in 15 seconds!! It's not against the law to not have brakes on a trailer but it is policy to make sure it is completely clear b4 running thru one like the cop did!! Now go hump on your uniform. Lmao

Running a "yellow light" isn't illegal. And I'm stupid for pointing out that the police sure showed up fast, and cleared the scene fast to hide the actions of your tax dollar at work?

Georgetown police over respond to everything. Countless times I've seen two or more cops behind one car that's pulled over. I can look out my window and see this. My living room has a clear visibly line of sight to the winners circle hotel. I'm get to watch the actions of Georgetowns finest pretty much daily. Be it before work around noon or so, or late at night.

This is so fun. Running a yellow light is not against the law. Accelerating at the yellow light is.

Yes, the winners circle and their clientele are a fine establishment and don't need a strong law enforcement presence.

I'm sure you could clear the intersection in 15 seconds with your little bike and air horn, but the sad truth is you never could/would because you are too busy sitting at home on our ass collecting your welfare/unemployment/disabilit y/SSI/crazy check. Am I right? Do you actually have a job? Or do you just sit on your computer and complain about how everyone else does theirs?

Maybe they just wanted to clear the roadway in order to make it safe for traffic, trying to prevent a bigger accident. How often do you let your shit stay in the toilet before you flush it? Geez some people are just stupid. Especially with this tax dollar crap. My tax dollars pay for a lot more than some police cruisers.

Poor gpd. The embarrassment they must feel.lmao!!! I'm not surprised.I've unfortunately been witness to more than a couple of their blunders. Its not their fault, they were born that way. And before I get bashed by the poor officers on here waiting to see what people say about then, I work everyday and get no help and have three kids that take care of.

Hey folks I read all the post and all are wrong I talked to the officer that was driving the GPD car and he stated it was just a accident the guy in the truck was in the far lane and did not here or see him the other SCSD car was just sitting at the light when it was hit. The guy in the farm truck was pulling a fertilize buggy that is not required by law to have brake just if the buggy was to come un hooked from the truck it will lock the wheel on the buggy Just a big Deal because who it was that had a wreck
