I purchased the book "Youth, Brainwashing, and The Extremist Cults" by Ronald Enroth. This has a section about the Tony and Susan Alamo Christian Foundation. The section was written by a former foundation member. This book is a "HOOT". Very funny because it is almost exactly how it was living at the foundation in the 70's. I encourage all former members to get this book. You will laugh your a**s off. The original copyright is 1977. You can get it on ebay or amazon for about 3-5 dollars shipped to your door.

I've actually read that, though I borrowed the book from a library. Any way you could put up excerpts?

I guess I could. However there is a lot of stuff only the people that lived there would really understand. Life he explained the RGB's.

Please do add it, it would be a great addition to the forum, and very informative besides.

You know it's only a matter of time until Les gets on this thread. Hopefully that book has a pop-up version so he can understand it. ;-)

a few choice paragraphs ~ "God has saved you, He has saved you, and He has brought you into His house. He wants you to stay here. This is where he has called you in these end times. When we sat down to dinner, the pressure was being put on me to make a clear decision as to whether I wanted to stay and walk with God or whether I wanted to turn my back on Him by leaving. I was told that since he had saved me from the horrible pit that I had been in, if I were to go back into the world I would run the risk of being turned over to a reprobate mind or turning into a homosexual or becoming insane" no big wonder so many people stayed, when they used fear tactics, lies, force, intimidation, pressure and bulldozing, to get people to stay there...what a hype !! like God expects us to go from one horrible pit to another.

The triple threat. homo, insane, death. This was a constant theme at the foundation.

Greg encountered a rigid legalism at the foundation. Members were encouraged to observe one another's behavior.

"Not only was I doing these live shows and not getting paid, but Tony was booking me all over the country, and in parts of Europe, with no intention of ever having me show up. He'd book me, get the front money and that was that. I did not find out about this until some time later. " ~Bobby Jameson

Seems like the same Alamo to me. No difference. A liar and a con-artist. Always was and still is.

Some nut is running his facebook page now it seems. Real conspiracy theorist. Going on and on about aliens and UFO's being "angels of God". Alamo approved moderator or something.

One of the giveaways to this was when I was doing a live interview, by telephone, with a Cincinnati, Ohio radio station, where people called in to talk to me. The trouble was that everybody was pissed off at me and finally I asked why? "Are you kidding me?" the DJ asked, "No!" I said, "Why are you people so mad at me?" The DJ answered, "Because a couple of weeks ago the mayor of Cincinnati and 1100 kids waited at the airport for you in the rain. They were there with the key to the city and you never showed up."

Hmph! Seems Alamo left this part out of his "testimony" ... why did you do that Alamo?

Oh Bobby's part of the plot correct? He's an agent for da Pope?

... Marshall, take a chill pill. Mac knows what he's talking about. Most of us who have been regulars on this board would agree with Mac.

Thank you Biskit. It was simply a rhetorical question, not meant to be taken offensively.

Regarding Bobby Jamison's blog; the real clincher is his eyewitness account of the confrontation in the lawyers office. You have to realize this part of "tony's testimony" was the guts (if you will) of tony's story. Bobby Jamison's explanation is completely different than tony's. I don't see any reason why Bobby J would lie about this. However I can see a host of reasons why tony would lie. Read and choose what you believe.

Everything "Tony" professed was a lie. He is a complete scam artist pretending to be a Christian. He took advantage of the vulnerable at every turn. I dreaded every service when "Tony" would show up and give his "testimony". What a phoney story and what a boring bag of wind that guy was to boot.
