Reading the article in this mornings paper, I saw no mention of any weapon. Just a mentally unstable, perhaps violent, big, imposing man who tried to flee two LPD officers. Other than why shoot an unarmed man, my question is the ability of the officer to hit his target. Two shots to the stomach of a man charging toward him at what I can only assume was close range. I knew Lyin' Bill had trouble qualifying while at Regional but I would have expected more from the rookies.

Hope someone researches LPD's policy and procedures on use of force ... do they even one or any policies for that matter?

Policy seems to be, If Lyin' Bill wants it, Old Gray Mayor agrees, and it is the law at LPD. It's a new department so they fly by the seat of their pants. I'd expect more from an "experienced" Police Department. Guess even a few days on the job counts as "experience."

Leroy was my landlord. He was a very akward man. He seemed nice until November, when he camped out in my yard for two weeks...... then i saw nothing of him until January when he put the house up for auction... I am still here with new landlords... but on Tuesday, he came over and brought me pies... then proceeded to ask me out for dinner... I declined, because come on, he's a 40 year old ex amish man, but ewww... over a year of being his tenant, and nothing of this nature ever came out, never mentioned about his past... then three weeks after the finalization of the house sale, PIES, then he's shot.... Then i find out his past.... creepy. I dodged the bullet on that one..... he didn't.

I'm on your side,if I had a landlord that had a past like the media reported NOW on this guy,I would feel betrayed that this information was not reported when it was going on, not after the fact. There is people on this forum that will say it was none of your business and your nosey for wanting to know, but it they were in your shoes now, they would have a different approach. Creepy may not even be the word for him.

Amazing how the media can be used as a tool, isn't it?
