“Why all the negativity?”

Just heard tonight that the new Pizza Pig restaurant in Lewistown laid off every single one of their employees and will operate with just the owners than shut down if sales don't pick up in the next few weeks.

What a shame, its always sad to see a local business fail and local people lose their jobs, especially this time of the year.

The idea was great, but it wasn't run properly!

There was only 1 pasta on the line with no sausage or meat balls, personal size pizza's, 1 soup and no deserts.
There should been 3 different pasta's with meats, large eye appeal pizza's, 2 soups and some sweets.People would even pay more if the bar was set up with more choices.
Plus they charged for bottled water instead of free glasses of water.
It's a shame, because it could have made it with the right management.

The place must be closed. I've been past it several times now over the past week or so and there's no activity there at all.

Its been closed for a few weeks now, although they still have there ads running on WMRF and never hung any signs or changed their website to tell people they are closed. Strange.

You're right, what a shame. They were barely in business for a little over a month.

Another downfall was that they didn't take credit cards. A bad decision for any business.

Too bad, I didn't get a chance to check them out before they closed. I stopped in the first week they opened, but they did not have take out. Not sure if they ever got it, but that couldn't have helped either. What pizza place doesn't have take out?

They added take out shortly before they closed as a last ditch effort, but it was too little too late.

Anyhow, it would have been nice if they could have made a go of it, but nobody seems to be able to run a successful business in that building since the old 6-pack went out of business.

I totally agree. The Pizza Pig was a product of the Mifflin County cabal. Everybody was in on it who is anybody in Mifflin County. They had secret meetings all over town to implement instruments of corruption. "wtf" knows the real motives. It was decreed that it would take 9 months to open the Pizza Pig, and they would be closed in about a month.

Yep, Everybody was in on this deal, and made a killing. "wtf" will expose the real story. 60 Minutes should be contacted.

Well, there's no doubt the Lewistown Officials are corrupt but they had nothing to do with this mess. The people who tried to get this up and running were no bodies. Get your facts straight wtf.
