Must've been pretty serious if he was shot instead of tased. I heard he was waving a knife around.

Looks like Bill is going to pass this one over to the newly elected DA for reporting to the public since his policy to keep things out of the public eye followed him to his new job at LPD.

Great Molek actually did something besides sit in his office with the door closed reading Criminal Law Books. Molek will plea him out as he did many others including a second time DUI ...

Friday I observed the 'news 21' vehicle parked at Lewistown police station, mid afternoon. This morning while watching '21' news blips, nothing was mentioned regarding Thursday's incident? Peculiar, isn't ? My take is the
tazer attempt failed (not enough training or poor aim on the part of the discharging police)thus the use of the firearm---GUN. One more sad example of inept public servant doing the job to protect and serve in Mifflin County.

public information via The Sentinel, states [revious DA prosecuted him and he served county time due to similar behaviours, Contribut the nia-information to having multiple policing agencies in a small county - too many foe

Do you know exactly what happened? Were you there? Do you know the officer? Do you know the guidelines and protocal of the police officers? NO So don't automatically blame the police for not knowing what they were doing. When non deadly force doesn't work and there is still an open threat you can move on to the next step. They used tasers, he was still a threat. Regardless of how you feel about LPD, these officers are out there every day risking their lives to protect ignorant people like yourselves!!

>>Ok,-frustrated- if it's verbal drama or whatever--> please don't JUDGE an opinion based on knowledge aquired via the local media. Having been personally involved, LE project tenacity alongside law enfotcement-vindicatory attitudes are present. With a child who is mentally compromised child, as a parent, I need to question the why and how's of police action---compute?

What is LPD's use of force policy? Do they even have a policy on this subject, or better yet do they have any policies, most if not all police agencies have some type of policy dealing with this type of action, and have policies in place directing officer actions. Hope someone investigates the Dept/Chief/Mayor/Boro Council if they procedures in place or not.

All departments have a strict policy about the use of deadly force. I'm not saying I know everything it just struck a nerve because I work with these men and people with mental illness on a daily basis. Tasers do not work on all people, I for one would much much rather see pepper spray or tasers and that's all; however, whenever it has to go further from that to protect the police and the rest of us it's their duty to do so. I do not condone use of deadly force if not absolutely necessary, you have to fear for your safety and the safety of the public as a whole before ever pulling that gun. But to automatically state that it's inexperience, poor training and bad aim is unfair to those officers that had to make that choice. Do I agree with everything MCRPD, LPD and Granville do, no, but it's not the officers fault that the County couldn't stay with one force.

So, I take it you have read all these strict policies of the departments you have mentioned or should we just take your word for it that you know what you are talking about. When in fact a lot of departments are behind on updated and well written policies. In fact these are the things good civil lawsuits are made of. You are fighting an argument for these people without stating any proof, which in turn makes you just as bad as the people who are ranting about them. Think about it...

If I'm wrong and they do not have written policy then they shouldn't be there. I completely agree, Like I said I do not know everything but personally know how people are always quick to blame authority. I do not have access to their policy no. I'm just simply saying that the officers do not deserve ridicule... but its on herkert if he screwed up. Can't blame those under him if he doesn't follow proper protocol.

Could you please tell me how DA Molek could plea him out as he did many others when he just took office 2 short months ago? McAdoo you are obsessed get over it!! Dave Molek WON!! Snook is out! & now they say the Hammermill closed what ever will he do??

If you believe cases have NOT been plead out since Molek took office then you are highly mistaken. As with the past DA, pleas did and will continue to be done. Our court system could not handle the case load should all cases go before a jury. You BOTH need to get over it.....and I would bet the hammermill reopens soon. Molek had nothing to do with it closing, more so why would he even care.

I know that Molek did not have anything to do with the Hammermill closing, why would he want to take 2 jobs from Steve?? Justice, why do you think you know so much? You are "highly mistaken" if you think you have the system figured out. Personally, I wouldn't want to have it figured, I'm not a big fan of how things work around here.

Never said I had it figured out, but I do know if you stay out of trouble you don't have to worry about it, now do you. I'm just pointing out people's ignorance. Everything I post is FACT, no just stupid statements cause I don't like someone. You seriously need to grind your ax somewhere else. I don't understand why you still continue to show your childish ways and ignorance on this site. Get over youself as you and your family are no better than anyone else, including Snook...Snook this Snook that, seriously let it go, it will eat you alive and it is clearly evident it is taking its tole on you.( see again, nothing but facts )

Concerned you said in past posts that Dave Molek won't enter into plea agreements. Why was last weeks jurors all dismissed? He either pleaded or gave up. Egg all over your face
