Today price of #2fuel oil is $2.24/gal on Nov.24,2006. The price of a gallon of regular gas is $2.19. Everyone knows it take less refining for fuel oil than gas . That is why fuel oil was always cheaper than gas. But the worst thing about it is there is more than $.50 tax on gas that is not on fuel oil . Heating oil now is starting out the winter season about $.15 lower than it was at the end of last years season . Before the election you were hearing alot about the gas prices falling , but heating oil did not move down much ,And it is not even cold here yet in the Northeast. Maybe we need to figure out how to burn gas in our furnace without the tax because it will not be used on the road . [DO NOT TRY THIS ,IT WOULD EXPLODE] Maybe this alone would be a good reason to get fuel oil prices lower than gas where it should be for Safety Reasons.

I guess that was a mistake saying fuel oil prices should be lower than gas. So the election is over now and gas prices are on their way back up. Now $2.39 I wonder what the excuse is this time , can't be because of summer driving . Instead of lowering fuel oil prices they raised gas prices so fuel oil is cheaper than gas , but what about the $.50 tax on gas that is not on fuel oil .

Another thing I would like to find out about fuel oil. Because fuel oil could be used in trucks, And you don't pay tax on it,They put dye in it so if a truck would get caught using untaxed fuel oil ,they could be fined . However since that time I have noticed on mine and lots of other roofs that have light colored shingles on them ,The black streaks and lots of times the red colored stains . I believe that is a result of that dye in fuel oil . The fuel burns but the dye doesn't and it is damaging our roofs . If so it is a shame that as consumers , we spend so much to put on a new roof and have it destroyed by this dye .

The house just approved more drilling areas in the Gulf of Mexico , The oil and gas companys must have there ear plugs in , If the Arabs announce they are going to cut production ,the prices go up within the next 5 minutes , But when we are going to add production , nothing happens. Why is that?

This week the price of oil just went below $55.00 a barrel,the lowest in 18 months. The price of gas at the pump or heating oil is not coming down at all , in fact now Opec. is considering again to lower production to keep the price up .Consumers can't win in the game they are playing ,Our government seems to blame the consumer for using too much ,but what difference do we make .

I think coffee is also on the stock market, but why is it you can find Folgers coffee on store shelves ranging from $1.88 for a 13 oz. can, to $2.89 for the same can somewhere else . Then when you go to the service station here , Gasoline does not vary more than two cents .Gasoline price now is $2.29 , Ten cents higher than in November even with the price of oil at an 19 month low.

Oil prices continue to fall ,down to around $51.00 a barrel now and still the price of gas here in Lewistown is still above the price during the election. It is now $2.29/gal. Right now is when they need to have one of them boycotts not to buy gas on a weekend.If lots of people would join in.

Now oil prices are at a 20 month low and still falling, the news says there are 30 states where you can buy gas for less than $2.00 /gal.But not here in Lewistown,Pa. $2.29/gal.

Well we are finally down to $2.25/gal here in Lewistown,Pa. But if the News Media keeps up playing these winter storms that are in the middle of the country moving east , The oil companies got their ears open just ready to find an excuse to start the price up again .

You just can't win, now that the price of oil started to go down some, Our own Government decides to put more oil in the national reserve , So the price is going back up today .So if we have the Arabs against us and now the US goverment, how are we going lower the price .

Don't know how they get the oil to Lewistown, Pa.But for some reason it must cost more because all around us the price is lower . Mifflintown it is $2.17 , Reedsville it is $2.17 ,down to the northeast at Beaversprings it is $2.17 the last I saw . It is still $2.23 in Lewistown , Pa. Where did the word volume get lost when you consider a price . Lewistown buys more oil than any of these places mentioned .

As of today now we are down to $2.19/gal for gasoline in Lewistown,Pa . That is where it was in November during the election. So we have not seen the effects of the lower price of oil here ,just the manuvering of the price for election .

Wow, it's cold out today,but I hope the oil companies don't know that because the price will be up tomorrow.The price for gas is $2.17 today but look out. One little excuse and up it goes.Now there is some talk of cutting that Chevez or what ever his name is out,and asking if we would be willing to pay more and not buy their oil . What a Joke .

As you can see at the beginning of these posts the price of #2 fuel oil was $2.24 during the election and today the price is $2.24 ,so where are the lowering oil prices .Remember oil was $78.00 a barrel now it is lower than that .

We have to start a national blue colar web site for just this reason. Get a couple hundred thousand people boycotting oil on saturdays and you will have a competitive economy.

Today March 2,2007 the price of gas just went up to $2.49/gal. What would be the excuse for this except the election is over .We had a couple little snow storms here in the Northeast but that is the way the weather is here all the time ,we have different winter conditions here , thats what keeps some people here and other leave for the warmer weather over winter . This is no reason to raise prices, its more like an excuse . Number 2 fuel oil is still $2.22 so if the weather played a role ,it would be fuel oil that increases .Wait until they can use the driving season to for another excuse.

The gas price did not stay at $2.49 long ,it just went to $2.55 later today . If the price of a barrel of oil gets back up to $78.00 ,Gas here will probably get to $3.50/gal by summer . I think they want us here in the US. to pay the same as they are paying in these other countries , but there tax structure is made up different then ours .If we had to pay what they pay for gas ,plus federal income tax ,state income tax ,local income tax, sales tax,property tax ,and some that I did not mention we would not survive .

I was listening to the news this morning and they said the price of oil went down about a dollar a barrel for fears that the economy is slowing down . Guess what ,I went past the service station and guess what the price of gas just went up another four cents to $2.59 . There is no figuring them out .

The reason for oil going up now ,they say because of heavy fog in the texas shipping channel. Whats next?

I wonder how much the price of oil will go down Monday since we are saving all this energy from changing to daylight savings time. If gas and oil prices stay the same what difference did it make .
