Yep, Life's going to be perfect come January 1.

Mifflin County will have a rookie DA who is going to be in so far above his head it won't be funny. He'll have hundreds of cases that he has never had to deal with before.

No doubt, dope pushers from Philadelphia are planning to make a big push in Mifflin County with an inexperienced DA at the helm.

I just hope Molek is smart enough to keep the existing assistant DA and staff people and the people that make the office run.

I hope you're not supporting Obama because you were already on the wrong side of the issue twice now,the splitting up of the Police force and now the DA. Does the three strike rule apply here?

ILLROY,
I think he is gonna SHIT CAN those employees you speak of I think the people have spoken real clear on the issue of CRONYISM at that office and want it cleaned out!
When you clean up a corrupt office like that one you rid it of everyone to ensure a trust worthy environment for yourself and your(NEW) in coming staff.
By the way your great DA has left some serious UN-FINISHED bizz on his plate, wonder why ? in over his head? And ILLROY you sound like your begging for your cronies jobs or maybe your own? DAVE is gonna clean house!!

Boy this is something to be proud of Frank-e! You may be the one who got what you wanted but at the cost of a criminal record and a jail sentence, not to mention the embrassment of loosing your position as constable and placing your girlfriend in a unprofessional position. Oh by the way, did you get a plea bargin approved by the DA's office or the AG's office? Does that make you corrupt too?

Lewistown pulling out from Regional is why the town is going down hill. Regional employed a drug officer who worked with a state trooper and they were cleaning house on a regular basis.. When Lewistown left the drug officer position was eliminated and the trooper left too and the drugs dealers are back in business.. Now look at Lewistown, it is nothing but an eye soar. I hope Molek can do the job as well as Snook and if he does everything should be fine as far as prosecuting the dopers. However, without Regional to help with the arrest it will not come easy for Lewistown borough.

Word on the street is the Regional guys will not help with the drug task force in Lewistown ever since they pulled out. I don't blame them for not wanting to help clean up their mess for them since Lewistown wanted out. No wonder Berrier wanted no part of running for office again. Lord help us.....

Ok, Today's Sentinel is a good example of the things that make Lewistown what it is, Two stories of motor vehicle accidents, one in Lewistown where the vehicle end up on the steps at Fifth St. This was a front page story without the names of the drivers involved, names were not released. The second story was in Granville twp and it also involved two vehicles and an accident that looked nearly the same, but this time the names were released. The motorcycle/truck accident where a man was killed, the name was released the next day. So now you ask I wonder who those people on the front page accident were related to that it was a hush, hush? Is it Chief Herkert that is keeping the information away from the Mifflin County citizens since it was MCRPD when Herkert was in charge there that started to keep the reports out of the public eye. Did he take his training from the State College police (Tom King) on cover-ups. Haven't we learned anything from the Penn State story that it is best to put the information out there and people will figure it out. To sweep it under the rug only creates more and bigger problems. Maybe in the new year the next DA "Chief law enforcement officer" can get us back on track and Lewistown can once again be the community with trust.

“Why all the negativity?”

I'm not a fan of Chief Herkert at all, but I do have to point out that MCRPD's reports were not showing up in the Sentinel LONG before he was even at MCRPD.

Well, well, well ... new DA ... same PLEA Bargains. It was flury of plea deals first day on the job. ALOT has changed!?!?!?!?

As far as news reports not in the paper ... who freaking cares? I see more reports in the paper from Regional than the idiots in the Boro. Personally I feel that officers don't need to waste time writing news releases. The "from staff reports" that you see in the paper are what are sent in by the officers ... NOT employees from the paper. If everyone thinks it's such freaking deal to read who harassed who and everytime someone farted ... let the paper actually do some investigative reporting. let the cops be cops and not news reporters.

Wonder if old Wild Bill is part of the Sandusky cover up??? Who knows.

Fortunately he did not do this. He retained Mr. Remy, and hired Mr. Barron. These 2 guys are going to be doing the real work, both of whom have far more crimininal law and court experience than Mr. Molek.
