Economy blamed for few takers of N. Idaho loans
Officials in the northern Idaho city of Lewiston say the bad economy is to blame for low- to moderate-income residents not taking advantage of low-interest loans intended to help them refurbish their homes.

Maybe they know that the money is coming from their neighbors, friends, and relatives, who need what they earn.
Government does not make money; it takes money.
A loan, by definition, has to be repaid at some point--and at the rate Barry and gang are going, precious little chance folks will be able to do that.
Make do, or do without--at least for now.
