Whats going on at Food and Friends with the service? Went there on Friday night and they were busy, but our server needs to go back to training. There was a group of us that sat in room going to the restroom and we waited a while to get our drinks, and then forever to get our food. Food was good once we got it but the waitress wasn't good about refilling our drinks or explaining the wait on our food. I guess she is new cause I've never seen her before and we go there every few weeks or so , but not usually this many people. Most of the waitresses we've had before have been there forever and must be getting up there in age, but that's what it takes to have competent employees because they know the menu and can answer about any question you have. Another thing is, why have a cashier if waitress is cashing you out. I don't like for my card to be out of my sight but they say they have to do it. Go figure!

I don't worry about all that because I don't eat in those pricey dives in town! Just sayin!

I eat there a lot and have for years and a waitress has NEVER cashed me out. You may want to go over your reciept and make sure she didn't do anything like add something on.

They have started the waitress cashing you out in the last 4 or 5 weeks. I haven't been told I have to do it that way but just always let them do it. This would have to slow the servers down if they have to do this added step.

People complain too much! Food and Friends is definitely one of the best restaurants around here so suck it up! If you want constant supervision from waiting staff just go to the chinese restaurant! lol

Also, they may have started the waitress cashing out due to the high congestion levels at the front door. Isn't that the procedure at most restaurants? Why does it matter if your card is momentarily out of your sight? They bring you a receipt to sign....

Not so much complaining about the paying my bill part asI am that maybe we aren't getting service because they are cashing you out, and that the waitress didn't seem to care too much about letting us know the status of our order. She must be new and hasn't learned how it is usually done there.

I've noticed over the past year or so how long it takes to get your food, but doesn't seem to be any busier than they were 2 or 3 years ago. From what I hear owner is an ass so maybe employees don't give a shit anymore. Why bust your ass for someone who gives you no respect and fires you one week and brings you back the next. Maybe he needs to hire some of the young workers like Applebees and Ruby Tuesday does and see how long they last they are just out for enough money for their next high.

In my opinion eating at Food and Friends is a very enjoyable dining experience. I agree that the food takes longer to prepare as opposed to a larger chain restaurant, obviously because they are smaller and aren't just heating you up overly processed packaged spinach dip! Hence, this is why appetizers are an option. Also, they have always been meticulous in timing when to bring out your soup/salad, allowing time to finish, then bringing your meal. I personally appreciate this because I hate being rushed with my meal.

For years and years it was basically always the same servers, and they all did a great job.
Those days are gone.

Eat there quite often and never have a problem.
Food and Friends is the best value for your money in town. They have selections for $10! Most people spend at least $7 to eat fast food. Why not eat REAL food instead? Food and Friends also does carry out if you dont want to sit and wait for your food.

I agree. Food and friends is he best restaurant in town. I have eaten there since they opened and I can't think of any time I had bad food or service. You have to pick your favorite waitress and request her each time you go there. That is how you ensure you get good service.

That is how credit card fraud happens. The waitress copies your CC number and the CVS code on the back and sells the numbers for cash. They empty your account before you even get home.

I ate there a couple weeks ago with the family and we had horrible service. We had to wave our waitress down and when we asked for a refill it took her twenty minutes to bring it back.. The food was awesome but, the service was horrible.

I didn't want to say this, but I feel you are forcing me to. If you are actually concerned about the Food and Friends waitress ripping you off, you probably shouldn't be eating there in the first place. Sorry.
A friend a fired serve

Yes, It was a good idea to request a server until the owner fired the best one he had for really no reason. I know for a fact she is better off without having to take all the verbal abuse from him. If you miss a server just ask the owner what happened to her.
