Ronceverte residents Tim and Tammy Pyne lost everything in a house fire this week. There has been a fund set up at city national bank in Lewisburg in their names. Please help if you can. They are wonderful people. This is heartbreaking.

I think it is always horrible when someone looses their house and everything in a fire. It is one thing to need the help, but it is another to take advantage of the situation and become greedy. I know they stayed at the Greenbrier for a few days which I am sure it was nice and they needed the help. What I don't understand is there were several young girls invited to come stay with them. The other girls were apparently friends of the daughter of the family. Then the girls decided to posts several pictures of their stay on Facebook and what the Greenbrier was giving them. The pictures posted on Facebook is a disgrace for the Greenbrier. For example, one picture is of two of the girls, in one of the bathrooms at the greenbrier, holding up their middle fingers in the mirror. I think the Greenbrier needs a little more respect than that,,especially putting this family up and their several friends for the stay. I guess there has been no parental guidance in these families and were never taught respect of others or the property of others.

Agreed. People who want to take something positive and turn it into a negative make me sick. Misery loves company, I guess.

Greedy, you just don't get it. We're talking about a family that's lost their home and everything in it, during the HOLIDAY season no less. The OP created this thread to draw attention to their plight and hopefully gain them some much needed aid. What their daughter's friends did or didn't do at The Greenbrier has nothing to do with the situation they currently find themselves in. Where's your sense of CHARITY and GOOD WILL we're supposed to show towards one another during this time of year above all others? Where's your sense of decency and decorum? I was raised that there was nothing WORSE than kicking somebody when they're already down, and that's EXACTLY what you're trying to do. Disgusting.

Yes, unfortunately another family, the WARDS lost their home also. They need help too. I heard the Pyne's were going to share the things that were donated to them with the Ward family. That's great.

THIS FAMILY IS STRUGGLING, AND APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL HELP! RIGHT NOW, THEY NEED A HOME. THE RED CROSS PUT THEM IN THE BRIER INN, BUT THAT ENDS WEDNESDAY, JAN 1ST, FROM THEN ?????????? BROTHER OF TONY'S CAN REBUILD, BUT NEEDS FUNDS AND SUPPLIES TO DO THIS.
YOU CAN CONTACT FRANKIE JONES, OF THE ALDERSON FIRE DEPARTMENT, OR CPL RICK HONAKER, GREENBRIER SHERIFF DEPARTMENT, PRO OFFICER AT WESTERN GREENBRIER MIDDLE SCHOOL, FOR CONTRIBUTIONS, AND/OR QUESTIONS

yes Tony and robin ward of Alderson lost everything in a house fire as well. There's a find set up at bbt in their name as well. They could really use the help also. There's six in the family.

The pynes shared some of the clothing that they couldn't use with the wards the day after the fire. If you made a donation to the wards through the fire department they have not received it they were told that nobody had made donations. Rhema church donated 100.00 to the wards. That was nice of them but 100 doesn't go far in this day and time. Walmart wouldn't help they said that they do not help individuals!!! Good to know that we all shop there but they can not help us out in a time of need!!!!! I know this for a fact. Shoe show gave shoes to the pynes which was very nice but told the wards that they couldn't help them!!! I know that both families have a long hard road to go I pray for them both
