I went into Lewisburg Diamond & Gold not too long ago and was just browsing. I found a couple of things that caught my eye, including a bridal set. I don't know whether to tell my boyfriend to go and look there. The girl knows me and what I like, so she could direct him to the right one. But Lewisburg Diamond & Gold as a whole, what's the take?

Also, I know the owner of Seneca Jewelers and they say stay away, but obviously they are competition. So what about Seneca Jewelers as well?

Thank You :)

This has nothing to do with greed. Did I say anything about picking out a ring worth tens of thousands of dollars? No. I have bought myself my own fashion diamonds and pearl accessories without the help of a man. Thanks for your input though, greatly considered!:)

I know the owners of Lewisburg Diamond and Gold and they are very nice people. My engagement ring and wrap came from there and they do all my repairs. I have not been in Seneca in years, they just never had any selection that appealed to me.

Thank you so much, that is what I was wondering about, if they had good customer service or just kissed your butt until you walked out the door. Thanks so much!

your going to take his ass for all its worth in the end so get your self a high dollar ring make sure he has his own home so you can get that also all and make sure he has lots of money so you can get that to and buy him a few blowup dolls so when you stop putting out he dont cheat on you

I have always dealt with Seneca Jewelers, the owners are always friendly and all repairs and resizing is done there promptly. Their selection may not be as large as Lewisburgs but they can order anything and get it quickly. I've always felt they gave me a fair deal and good service which is all I can ask for.

I bought a bridal set 22 years ago from Seneca Jews and Keith told me the diamond was a quarter carat. He even wrote it down on a card that I still have to this day. After about 15 years I took them back in and had more gold added to them in the places that had wore thin. I asked the taller bald heavy set guy that was doing the work on it to telle how many carats was the diamond and he said that it was an eighth of a carat. So I guess diamonds wear down too. Becareful who you deal with. That was my true experience so it's not slander and I can prove it.

Thank you for all of your input, I appreciate it very much!:) I have looked online at Lewisburg Diamond and Gold and I've also browsed online just in general so I know of an idea of what I want to look in Seneca Jeweler's books. Didn't know they could do that, thanks!:)
To "damn girls" - sounds like you got one-uped by a smart woman who didn't deserve to have to put up with you anymore. Change your attitude and maybe a nice one will come along to make "forever" Good luck!:)

My husband just bought me a piece for my Pandora bracelet t & the salesperson gave me incorrect information on how to clean my bracelet. It ruined it. After several phone calls & going into the store they have sent my bracelet off to be refinished. They also gave me a $25 gift cert. I haven't got my bracelet back yet so I'm hoping it will be restored. I am happy that they are making it right. Personally I think their attitudes are
poor. I felt like I needed to have a wallet full of cash to even walk through the door. I will stick to Kays or Zales in the malls.

I heard if you shop Lewisburg Diamond & Gold they take down your name & phone # and keep calling you to get you to come back. They make the employees do this - they worry you to death until you either tell them to take a hike or come back in and buy something else. They cheat people - one man purchased a ring for a lot of money and tried to re-sell it back to them and they only gave him a percentage of what he paid for it.

Stick with kays or Zales in a mall. Their overhead is much higher than any of the local stores so of course you're paying more for the same item plus you're doing nothing to help the local economy. But you can tell all your friends that you got ripped at a big name store.

I have shopped at both Kays & Zales multiple times. Never been ripped off & they always have fair prices. For example Lewisburg Diamond & Gold wanted $150 to size a sterling silver ring. I had it sized at Kays for $50. They did good quality work. So as far as jewlers I will not support our local economy. I would prefer to put that extra $100 in my pocket rather than over pay. Makes good sense to me really.

I use to work at Lewisburg Diamond & Gold. Their quality is hard to beat! The owner works for a company out of New York and can also beat anyone's price! Have you ever looked at a diamond in a loop? I can promise you most places wont even mention it cause their quality is crap! LDG will gladly show you a loop and explain to you the quality. Even not working there anymore I will NEVER buy my jewelry anywhere else! Good Luck. And no your no being selfish diamonds are a girls best friend :)

I am sorry you had a bad experience! I promise you if I worked there still you would not have felt this way. Their quality is so much better than Zales or Kays I hope you will give them another chance!

Just moments ago I hung up the phone with Jackie owner of Lewisburg Diamond & Gold.I called to see if my Pandora braclet that they sent off about a month ago to be repaired was back yet. She told me it was not & asked me why I brought the braclet to their store to be fixed. She knew why I brought it there, however everyone forgets things from time to time. I explained once again that her employee had told me how to clean it incorrectly. I asked her if she could call Pandora to get an estimate of how much longer it will take. She said that she could not do that she didn't have their #. I then asked her to look in a Pandora brochure for the #. She said she couldn't do that because they were closing up. I told her I felt that was terrible customer service. She then informed me if I continued to slander her store she would sue me. Since when is stating facts slander I asked? She did not have a viable answer. I also reminderd her how my experiences in her store have been negative & seems like you must have a pocket full of cash to get good customer service & that I would not be shopping in her store in the future. After asking her again for the # to Pandora she did go look but came back to the phone & said she couldn't find it. I told her I would just look it up online & call them myself tomorrow to get a time frame as to when it will be back. She then informed me I was being unresonable & it was Christmas and it will be back soon. So we hung up. I still have no braclet & no idea when it will be back. The saga continues.......

My husband bought me a ring in there and it was 2500. i took it back this year and they said they would appraise it at 175 if i wanted to sell it back to them so i personally think they are rip offs how does a ring go down that much especially since it hadnt had any damage whatsoever i go to Seneca they always order what i want and give me discount ive been going there for 20 years now.

Lewisburg Diamond and Gold will treat you like royalty if you are willing to overspend and not give them any customer relations problems. Their gold buying adds are deceiving, they advertise high buying prices just to get you in the store. Try getting a gold quote over the phone and then see what they actually give you when you get to the store. Make sure you know the market if your going to deal with them or they will rip you off!!!
