There is nothing wrong with Ronceverte. Lots of good people. Better than the other surrounding towns. Affordable housing. I have never had a problem living here. My neighbors are awesome.

As vice-president of the Lewisburg Flatulence Club, I want to welcome you to our little community and also humbly ask that you join our organization. We meet once a month in downtown Lewisburg for a fart-a-round of sorts where we eat Taco Bell and wait for the fun to begin. We show new members the ropes and have flatulence contests on a monthly basis. Hope to see you then. Oh, this is a good community where we are widely accepted by everyone, even if they think we smell.

After carefully reading, re-reading and weighing the results, our findings are that....

Lewisburg is completely normal :) I think I'll like it there.

Here's one: what's a small business missing from Lewisburg/the surrounding area? Is there a "dang! I wish we had a....?"

Well, I'd say it's one of the nicest, safest, most beautiful places or earth. Very cosmopolitan for a small town, wonderful food, fantastic people. I left over a year ago after living there my whole life and miss it terribly. Had to leave, lack of opportunity but highly recommend it if you have financial resources and aren't starting from scratch.

I live in Ronceverte but would much rather live in Lewisburg for several reasons that a newcomer should be aware of. One, Ronceverte hill is scary in the wintertime when roads are bad. That's the main way and probably the safest to get there but I don't care who u are, it can be terrifying. Two, I live 2 miles outside of the "city" and cannot get high speed Internet service. Now that's ridiculous. I have city water but we're on a boil water advisory at least once a month. There are some cute places right on town and nice farms on the outskirts but given the choice, I'd want the conveniences of Lewisburg especially moving here from a city.

The area is nice but the people are horrible. It is the same as the inner city ghetto in regard to low education, poverty and drug addiction. The local officials are inbreds who have no idea how to properly run things. Most parking lots are open air drug markets, often times supervised by the police watching from across the street. Locals will say, "It's like that everywhere nowadays" although they will admit that they haven't left the county in a decade.
Like that 'who are you kin to?" question? It is typical for the shortsightedness of the locals. Most people here are related....
If the people in this area are as bad as you say we are, that road you rode in here on (whenever you did) goes both ways, feel free to use it. We don't need people with your type of attitude around any way.

You mean the crazy guy who was in the middle of the road refusing to put down his gun and then pointed it at the police?

No, the one that had a rifle in his hand & was NOT pointing it at anyone & was shot from ALL directions with no regard for anyone in all those cars & restaurants that one?
You know the guy that had the X Cop girlfriend, that sicked her Ole Buds on her boyfriend & they couldn't wait & just follow him until he was out of that congested area to ambush & shot him...that one?

You must be mistaken. That sounds like the crazy guy who made his own decision to get out of his vehicle with a rifle and point it at the police. The police actually only shot from one direction and there was a large rock wall behind the lunatic with the rifle. The crazy guy called all the shots that day (no pun intended).

The "lunatic" called ALL the shots?
Like where he was going to be stopped & shot to death at? I thought the police were suppose to be in control of that?...I think it was there decision to stop him from behind & from the front wasn't it?
I don't think he stopped in the middle of a busy street any where else?.... Did he?
& if he had a pistol & not a rifle in his hand I might could see the hail of gun fire on him, but holding a rifle & aiming & shooting a rifle are two different things?
Now if he had been one armed & was going to point it at someone there would be a couple of seconds before he could bring it up,point it & shoot it, but he had two arms & if he was pointing it at the cops when he got out of his truck, it would be clear when he brought the rifle up to eye level it would indicate or I should say it should have indicated to the cops that he was preparing to shoot at them, But according to the news on TV they said he got out holding a rifle, Not pointing or aiming to hit someone & if he had been pointing it at the cops I am positive the news would have been more than happy to have reported that, But they said He was holding a rifle.
Everyone knows that you can shoot & hit someone faster with a pistol than you can with a rifle,So the cops jumped the gun (no pun intended) & killed someone because they are trigger happy (no pun intended again)

& as far as he was "a lunatic" & "the crazy guy"..he was drunk,& arguing with his "girlfriend" that happened to be a cop or X cop,
Didn't the damsel in distress have a gun? Seeing that she was a cop her self?? If he got out hand with the fair damsel I guess she could have shot him then at least it wouldn't have been an ambush?
& to shoot someone dead in the street shows me that the cops are afraid, UN trained little Barney fifes, but this sure aint May Berry!

So I think you are mistaken.

How are things today in your fantasy land? I see the police stop people all the time in Lewisburg and they don't shoot them, you know why? Because they don't get out of their vehicle threatening them with a damn gun! The news actually did say the crazy guy pointed his rifle at the police, go watch it again. That dude wanted to die and he did what he needed to do to make it happen. He wrote that book, the police just closed the chapter.
