I just heard some terrible news...I heard the eastern greenbrier wrestling club is broke. That somebody inside the club used every bit of the money for thier own use. Ican not believe this could happen, that somebody would steal money from kid's. I guess somebody knew the treasurer very well or something. I hope when they find out who done this they prosecute them for it. This just blew my mind when i heard it.. Good thing they kicked Mr Lusher out when they did, now he cant get the blame for it. He sure as hell got the blame for everything else that happened in the club that went wrong.
what happened to him to begin with

My kid has already quit wrestling. As of tonight, we won't be back. The new coach is mean and rude. He works the kids way too hard. My son is exhausted.
Just hope there is still time for basketball. Any info will be appreciated.

Wow Mom way to teach the kid something! You have just taught your child that if he makes a commitment but things get to hard it's ok to just quit. The child has hurt no one but himself, I am sure the coach really don't care, that's one less whiney brat, and hateful mother he has to put up with. Maybe instead of blaming the coach you should blame yourself, children need to be taught to work hard, and tough it out, not to just quit if it's to hard. Have fun when he's 40 years old, has no job and living in your basement!

Frank Lusher is awesome! He was there all weekend coaching and making sure the kids are having fun and happy. He takes the kids to tournaments who don't have a ride. I've seen him offer to pay so kids can go.
Dont spread rumors people! Frank is a good man and the best coach EGWC has ever had!
Look how many is out this year from the previous year!!

Wrestling is not for the weak. We do not push those children any harder than we were pushed in the same practice room. They learn to wrestle and have fun doing it. I see nothing but smiles in that room at the end of the night. I am sorry that you feel that way about our program though.

Until this childish fighting and bickering quits the wrestling program will never succeed. I give Frank credit, he cares about the kids.

Speaking as someone who coached and had a kid that wrestled for 3 years prior to this year, I can atest that the whores, thieves and assholes did more damage to the wrestling program than ever.

If Frank is guilty of nothing more than pushing the kids a little hard then so be it. I would rather my kid learn the importance of hard work and dedication than how to steal or how to screw a coaches wife and tear apart families.

I take it that all you parents complaining about certain coaches methods draw your criticism from your deep pedigree and knowledge of the sport. I just wish that we could get some of you wrestling masterminds out there coaching. There is a reason that these kids are being taught this way. It's called basics.

Just wait till next year. Frank was run off by the Fishers. The Fishers are taking over the Club again next year. Goodbye Wrestling Club.

Its not true the the Fishers ran me off, I will be coaching next year. It is true that the Fishers and I have a difference in cosching styles and goals. Doc brings a lot of good things to the wrestling room. But our styles conflict too much for the good of one team. Dude there is a Summer League, It practices on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm. Doc and Coach Miluk alternate coaching. And my son is there most practices.

Lindsey.you suck.you seriously think you know anything about caoching kids? you dont know crap.they brought you in to help coach because they needed a dummy and they got it. How many meets did you go to this year? It was always an excuse of why you wasnt there. I Didnt see Mr Lusher skip any meets. I seen him taking kids with him so they could go.

So by this post I am assuming your child was involved in wrestling. My son was too. Frank was good to the kids. It was obvious Lindsey does know about wrestling. What is also obvious is that Lindsey works nights on the weekends and couldn't go to most of the meets, you would have known that if you were at practice with your child. Anyhoo, I think they were all great coaches and I think they all had the interests of the kids at heart. What I also know is as good of a person as Frank is, he is also committed to only certain kids. I went to the meets and I saw several kids wrestling illegally in different age/weight brackets, for instance instead of wrestling in their own age/weight and then wrestling up in an age/weight bracket for the experience they were placed in younger age/weight brackets and their REAL age/weight brackets. When the parents of said kids were asked about why they were in age brackets that was younger than there real age they didn't know what I was talking about so I know it wasn't of their own doing. That my friends is called cheating and it isn't doing the kids any good by teaching them to win against younger kids. If you want the kids to be better, you challenge them by wrestling them against tougher kids, you don't wrestle them down. I am not placing any blame on anyone, they know what they did and they know it was wrong....and they will be the ones to live with themselves. All the coaches are good in their own way they just have different ideas on right and wrong.

As far as this goes, I do not believe that the Fisher's ran Frank off. Frank is a good recruiter of kids, Doc is a very knowledgeable coach who my child could only benefit from spending time with. I think they are both nice, but when it comes to wrestling, hands down Doc is the smarter wrestler. He still wrestles and wins titles. And he doesn't have the kids doing anything illegal at the matches. He teaches basics...which is what the kids need to learn before all the fancy stuff.....repetition is what teaches kids. You can't teach a new move, work on it for 15 minutes and expect the kids to retain anything, it just gets all jumbled in their head. Practice makes perfect...how much do you remember today from cramming all night for a test in high school?
