Oh yea I forgot! We have the highest crime rate in the state. If you do not like it why are you here? 90% of this community like the way it is run. How many people go and complain at the city hall meetings? How many citizens live here? If it was as bad as what you guys say we would have to build a larger city hall for everyone to fit in. Then we would have to write more tickets. LOL! Oh by the way what has lawyer Dalton found?
You are DEAD wrong! The majority hate the face this puts on our town. You are not allowed to speak at city hall meetings because they stifle the speech of anyone that disagrees with them. You are obviously one of the opressing pinheads that works up there. Rest assured. This regime is crumbling down and we will have our town back. That goofball sits up there doing his homework while the people travelling the interstate pay his salary. It's gonna stop. You will find out what the lawyer has found out. SOON!

How many people can complain if those incharge don't allow complaints on the Cornersville so called public meetings agenda?
How many if any people have been told if they speak out or complain at those meetings, or been threatened with jail?
When did Cornersville's citizens vote or even have been allowed an public comments on to sell or not to sell Cornersville's water department to Lewisburg Water Department?
What happen to that money, transfer of grants? Can just any town out of the clear blue up and sell any towns Water Department without public notice, public comments, public advertizments, public auction, public votes by both the town's citizens selling their water department and the town's citizens buying that water department?

Then where was it public advertized for the citizens of Lewisburg to say yes or know to buying that Water Department?
Was others offered by public auction, the same opertunity to buy it, either private or public such as private business or Marshall County Water Department?

Was it a private deal between just one bidder and seller? Like when the water department hire can one man make do all the hiring without board consent or offering public property and jobs to all?

I know vehicles have brakes, but I thought they could not speed trap anyone and hold up in court coming off a hill due to gravity???? Maybe someone who really knows can inform me. thanks

Those fools will risk anything for a dime. Its a disgrace and embarassment. When someone is killed or hurt the ones guilty should be put in prison. especially the city administrator for lying to the council about the need to be there.
Use Less State Troopers

Could they Hire lower paid un trained Small Town Cornersville Police to do those State Trooper Jobs and save money?

Pulling into 70 miles an hour down hill traffic, from a dead stop is very dangerous and may cause a very dangerous wrecks!

When were small town police ever trained as State Troopers?
How many been sent to driving school, taught and trained like the state troopers train for?
Why even have State Troopers if every small town police can be used to do those State Troopers Trained Jobs?

Can the Town of Cornersville's not leave that money hungry, habit, alone?

Does it looks like just using that small town police department for profits, by harassing the traveling public?

What if every small town and big city across America were allowed to use their un train police as to sit at the bottom of every hill along the interstates profile or issue speeding tickets?

Is Cornersville known as a speed trap town, operating like TV Boss Hog and his gang?

Does it create a very dangerous situation for all involved, even those not involved, for any time cars or trucks are stopped on the sides of the interstate?
Becomes much more dangerous when steep hills are used for speed traps as small town profits?

Pulling into 70 miles hour traffic, from a dead stop, from the middle of the interstate, having to cross down hill fast lane of traffic to give chase?
Creates a danger not only to the police themselves but also to those not speeding!

When did Small Town police get trained as state troopers? Driving Schools for State Troopers, where are those driving schools for small townÂ’s police?

What union would allow untrained workers to do trained workers jobs?
Just a question does Chapel Hill a much larger town in Marshall County have as many police as the smaller town of Cornersville if so why not?
Yea

Lets do something about all the drunk drivers that drive down the road on there 3rd 4th 5th 6th shall I go on offense. Drunk drivers are let go almost daily. The court system takes it upon themselves to let them go and they continue to drive and kill people every single day. Lets do something about that too!

These small town officers are TRAINED ... They know what they are doing. The training at the Police academy is very rigorous. Just because they work in a small town does not mean they don't know what they are doing. These men were not taken from the street and given a badge and a gun and told "go be an officer". And I guess it's ok to speed as long as you are on the interstate? THP can't be everywhere. How long have they been patrolling that part of the interstate and how many dangerous incidents have happened? Just asking....

Like a pot hole in the road if public officials are made aware of that dangerous pot hole "an posible accident waiting to happen" are those same public officials responsible if someone hits that pot hole and gets killed?

How many police does Chapel Hill have as compared to Cornersville?

Does Cornersville need so many police, that do they have to resort to using those extra police to radar the interstate, miles from the town it's self?

Does the State pay Connersville property taxes for that portion of the Interstate does Connersville claims is in their city limits?
If not how could that Federal Hwy , or any part of it even be in Cornersvilles's police jurisdiction?

Just think

Is America becoming a police for profit Country?

Where small town police could give traffic tickets for driving to slow as well as to fast?
Is it all about the love of money, not serving and protecting the public any more?

No and No.
Cornersville only has from the 26.5 to the 27.5 mile marker and may loose that if the current legislation passes the house.
The Troopers are working alot of safety belt enforcement to support the departments mission/mandate to reduce fatalities.
Return Revenue To State

Columbia, TN

#120 Apr 2, 2014
Why not let the State of Tennessee get all the revenue that is generated from all tickets writtten on the interstate hi-way systems by any law enforcement and require that revenue all be returned to the State and used for Interstate road building and Interstate repair with none of that revenue going to any Towns, Judges or Courts?

Would that stop all the wondering where the money went and just see if all those small town police or city officials were really interested in Public Safety or just the Money From those Tickets?
