Speed Traps
Columbia, TN

Connersville police are they shooting radar again sitting in the southbound rest area at the bottom of that big hill?
What does the interstate have anything to do with protecting Connersville?
Do Connersville public officials allow that towns police to shoot radar on the Federal Hwy miles from the small Town City of Connersville is that part of the interstate even in the city limits of Connersville?
Is that only Speed Traps money used to collect off out of state travelers? Does federal law allow those types of speed traps and harassment of out of state travelers?

Is it one of the old cops who used to play the same State Trooper jobs or a new guy that has not been told, is it against the Federal or State Laws for those small town city police, when the town is miles away from the interstate to play State Trooper rolls could that be called harassing tourists traveling through the state, in hopes those ticked will mail the tickets back and are they even keeping records of those tickets and money paid?
Where does that money goes in someone pocket or like the other city manager did get into trouble?
Was those Connersville Police in the Rest Area on the south bound where the trucks stop and as traffic comes down that steep hill, Facing North against southbound traffic very dangerous?

Do they have too many on the payroll? Who is watching the house? No wonder we don't have the normal city patrol.

randy wrote: Yep QB and Taylor have their hands in cookie jar again Are nepotisms when a brother is city manager over the police department and his sister is the town traffic judge? Who is the Judge of traffic Court in Connersville? Who is over the Police Department in Connersville?“City Manager” Is that called Nepotisms? Does it look bad for any small town, is that towns police department ordered or allowed to run dangerous radar traps, miles from the business district and residential area of that small town, upon the Interstate I-65 Federal Highway could that be seen as targeting tourist, out of state travelers as to collect extra money, extortion, or using that small towns police department as highway robbers? Could that be called Highway Robbery?

At least get the name of the town correct if you know so much about it. None of the posts show it correct.

Where is the Money Going
Columbia, TN

Are the small towns such as Connersville using the federal highway systems like I-65 miles from their business district and residential area, allowing their police too running radar on a federal highways like I-65 are they targeting, profiling small business people and out of state tourists as a means to increase small town revenue or under the table pocket money for their own benefits or who knows what? Was a similar operation like that allowed conducted by that towns last crooked city managers management just before he was sent to jail for mismanaging public funds and that same towns traffic judge who knows what happen to him?

If the small town of Connersville which the town itself is located miles from the interstate I-65 open trucks rest areas, with no buildings in those rest areas, can allow their police to sit miles from the town itself on an open interstate federal highway too run radar catching out of state traveling tourists, speeders on a 70-75 miles and hour open interstate road as they travel down a steep hill does it make people wonder if that small town has to many police with not enough to do? Did that town have their past city manager caught with his hands in the cookie jar, mismanaging public funds, go to jail, a traffic judge and police chief about that time to resign, was the town bank robbed a few years back, fire hall in the center of town burn down who did they catch, are Connersville police to busy trying to catch speeders miles away from the town itself over off the hills of the interstate highway?
Have they forgot about the poor scared out of state lady said to be speeding on the interstate was she chased by Connersville police in an unmarked tinted windows police car 30-40 miles till her car was wrecked near Nashville several years ago?

Are traffic court costs alone street talk $125.00 added to that the costs of any speeding tickets? So does if they go to traffic court and get the tickets dismissed, do they still have to pay $125.00 court costs?

Got a ticket there earlier today from the police chief who was driving the the southbound on I65 and then made a u-turn to pursue me in the north bound lane with really hing speeds I would estimate of about 120mph. Gave me a ticket for 86/70..kinda wondering why the police chief was out there on duty

City Limits were moved to include part of I-65. Police chief was on duty because it is a vvery small police force.
I know it doesn't seem fair. A year or so ago I got busted by as Franklin City police officer for illegal use of the HOV lane just south of Cool Springs.

And Chapel Hill for that matter. It looks like they only exist to raise money for the employees and the municipalities of their jurisdiction.

Were you speeding? Are you complaining because you got a ticket or because the officer did not satisfy your idea of who should be ticketing you? If you weren't breaking the law, you never would have made this post to begin with.

who is protecting the town when the officer spends hours ,10 miles away on I-65, sounds to me like it would be a good area for a thief to work, the police are always out of town
