I wonder how many people drive around the square to avoid the beggars on Saturday which man all the intersections? Hopefully people who want to shop or just want to see the square are not turned off by this. It is somewhat of a hassle, every week someone out there. But that is another subject altogether.

Would it kill you, to give a buck for a poppy for vet, or donuts to help the kids, or the fire fighters ,

I do give, every time. Where did you read I didn't? They do encourage people to avoid the square which is all I said. I feel so good about saying this, I am sure I give a bit more than you do, and I don't even have to know who you are.

Yes, both of you, really. Think before you post. What is Jesus thinking?

Jesus is thinking that the truth needs to be told and unbelievers need to be converted into believers. People are the way they are. You might be convinced that they changed but deep down, they are the same wretched inviduals we have all come to know and cause us to be violently ill from disgust.

You may just want to consider that thought....otherwise, you might just witness the serpents writhing among each other.

Has anything changed? What you are describing has been the norm for years. If it is a problem, it's your fault for selecting the square as a location for your business.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
– Matthew 23:23 (NIV)

One of the things that have turned people away from the church is our obsession with all of the wrong issues. It sends the wrong message to our communities when we are more concerned about carpet colors in the sanctuary than the injustices that are a part of daily life outside of the church walls. This doesn’t mean that carpet is not important, but what things are we neglecting that are important to God while we are blinded by our own agendas and comforts?

Oh... let's see. How about Jesus??? How about the Good News??? What did Jesus expect us to do? I think he made it clear before he was even crucified!! Breaking bread!! Do this in remembrance of me. Churches are notorious of doing this less and less. And with it, they preach the good news less and less. Churches today have become clubs. Plays, recitals, singing performances... I could go on and on. The only good part of any church is it's bible classes. Normally less than 1/4 of any church attends bible classes. Church should be nothing BUT bible class. Only then will they learn. Not this stupid hour of bordom listening to some stupid know-it-all preacher going on and on about how when he was a kid... la, la, la, la, la and then let's sing a song... more la, la, la, la, la... I don't think that is what Paul was doing. Churches today have been watered down. People going to hell are sitting in the pews thinking they are Christians!!!!!!! Lord have mercy on them all!

yea give it few months, all will closes right back up, like the dirt town it is, and how can they go wrong with ice cream, you buy it you store it you resell it, not hard, lets see what other trash food they come out with, a print shop/ice cream shop..yea thats going to go far
Still going strong after a few months. I didn't see anything mentioning a print shop anywhere except that they have a big printer to print their own signs so you must have gone in their shop. Bet you loved the subs! I know you didn't try the ice cream because for one thing you can't buy a huge tub of it in the store and the quality is twice the quality of store bought ice cream. If you have a better idea for a business, there are several empty store fronts in and around the square. Go put your ideas to good use instead of bashing others hard work.

you are right sir! I have not had the ice cream and yes I did visit the shop twice! once to get a sub meal and another to get a can soda. and I shall not return. 10 people living there, few dogs and a used clothing store slash ice cream shop, for me that is , well to much for me. I would hope all these things that are said are not true but when you go there you can not help but think that is how it is. maybe I do not know what each empty shop should have in the windows but we can all agree what is going on is not working in the way you your self want for your downtown area. so those whom have been running things should see that talking in circles has ran its time. so it is time for you all to step up your game. stop talking start moving/ there is your first idea on the house for more ideas you can not afford them. thanks for your time
