Other businesses on the Square, some many years and doing fine.
Emporium
Parsons Pharmacy
Hamlin-Bollin Furniture
Tillis Jewelry
Edward Jones Office
Bank Of America
Too Squared Photography
Weddings Your Way
Arts and Frappes Coffee Shop
Boans on the Square ( Furniture Repair)
And two consignment shops, one for men and one for children. They are new and not sure of the names.
Overall I would say the square is actually in pretty good shape and if you go one block off of the squarethere is a lot more businesses such as music stores, flower shops, restaurants and much more.
Don't bash it, shop it! The tax dollars spent in Marshall County and Lewisburg which means better schools, roads and infrastructure. When you go elsewhere to shop you hurt the economy and the county you live in.

Wow, there actually was a couple of people walking around and doing things on the square tonight. I wish I had time to stop. It looked like the ice cream place and the coffee shop had business tonight.

Oh...puleez.... The Emporium???? That place had to start selling Christian items, as suggested by one of their followers, otherwise they would have closed several years ago. Selling things in Jesus' name to make money......how Christian....NOT!!!! The business has been operating in the red for several years. It was ready to close last year but then someone was brought in that knew a little something about business and knew how to make something other than PB&J sandwiches to keep it going. I wouldn't shop at that place no matter how many people recommended it to me. Perfect descriptions: two-faced, deceitful, dishonest, unfaithful, cunning, lying, devious, unstrustworthy, scheming, calculating, underhanded, conniving, dastardly, shameful, reprehensible, immoral, corrupt, wicked......

Proverbs 26:23-28

Like the glaze covering an earthen vessel are fervent lips with an evil heart. Whoever hates disguises himself with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with deception, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and a stone will come back on him who starts it rolling. A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin.

I sure did. It was interesting. They talked about the scripture I posted and how it relates to today's society.....how some people use our Lord as an affront to lure people in.
