I remember when a rural area had a prison discussion. It was built in Angie,La.
http://www.doc.la.gov/pages/correctional-faci...

Jobs! I can just about see the transfers for those jobs! It will help keep great jobs in our area which means more purchasing power in housing, etc.!

I am for a Women's Prison. It may be a need for one. If so, would Marshall County,TN benefit from a prison?

You are a moron for even suggesting this crap!! Yes, we need jobs but we are not so desperate to have a prison. You're just looking for a new place to live. Go find something else to do then to come on here spewing your thoughtless suggestions.

Is that all you can think? Maybe cause you've been in so many jails you know what it's like. We don't care. We don't want a prison. There are tons of businesses that can and will move here. We already have enough dangerous criminals and don't need anymore.

I see you don't like the suggestions. A prison can provide jobs that several generations in a family can work for. That is great for people who love living here all their lives.

It is not that I don't like suggestions, your suggestions are not always well thought out. Mostly not. We could attract many, many good businesses that would not induce a degree of harm and this is your suggestion... Even as a business, prisons are not good investments overall and bring many problems with them. That is why you don't see them popping up everywhere. You don't give a lot of thought to these suggestions and if you do, it is never a well researched thought. I will not bother going into it with you because you would not understand anyway. No offence, but you are not a business graduate and therefore would not understand what I convey and I don't have the time to teach you.

You need to stick to just the things you know: Living one day at a time. Take care of YOUR world because you don't have the credentials to take care of mine. And of what I have seen of your world, laid out for all to see here on Topix, you have many personal medical issues that need tending to. And you can't even do that.

Lock up that girl who was cited for shoplifting at Wal-Mart and won't put her kids in child restraint sets. Should that be child neglect

Child neglect for sure!

One time I read about a wreck. Even though the family in the vehicle were buckled up, the point of impact was horrible. The little girl's face was gone!

Seatbelts and car seats need to be used correctly. Any fire station or police dept. would be helpful in teaching you about the correct way to buckle up. I know those car seat models change and you better make sure your children or other people's children are safe as possible.

You are just another moronic example of life. You can't make a complete sentence that makes sense. You are totally off topic. You make no viable contribution to anyones life. So what point have you made? NONE. You are a waste of valuable time. Everyone who has read your comment just wasted those seconds of their life they could have used to better use.

Stupid is as stupid does,
You have best personality to work in a prison! You would be surprised at the well educated business minds that end up in prison for fixing the books or tax forms for monetary gains. One man got two years from IRS.

And you have the personality that belongs in a psychiatric ward. Between your split personalities bipolar flip flopping...

What damage would a prison do to Marshall County? Bring about 500 jobs which this area desperately needs? What are you all afraid of, the prisoners? I mean really, how many people escape from prison? Very few! They have very tight security. I think it would be great for this area.

One prisoner escaping, rapeing, killing, kidnapping, harming, is one too many. Many prisons today are privately owned and totally mismanaged and with very little oversight. Why in the world would anyone want a mismanaged crapshoot prison in their area? Can we build it next to YOUR house? You home value will drop like a rock down a well along with everyone elses. OH...! You didn't think that far into it did you? You didn't think that it has to be built SOMEWHERE where others live nearby, did you? And then everyone is going to have to constantly wonder, are we safe? When will someone escape and harm someone, because it WILL happen. It is like playing russian roulette with little girls or little boys the bait.

Ah.... what do you care about little kids and defenseless old ladies and home values? Stupid is as stupid does.

Now think about this, the families of the prisoner will move here. Compete for jobs not here, more traffic on visiting day, crime will go up. Prisoners will become repeat costumers, I could add more for you to think about
