was it a good reason for them to be at councilman Thomas house cutting trees? or just a favor?

just asking....after all it is the rate payers money...one may understand if it was in the front wherethe power lines are but they were all in the back of the house...

I saw several LES trucks at a house on the Fayetteville Highway a couple of days ago with a chipper out front. One big truck was in the back yard. Is this where he lives or does he live somewhere else? Still there might be a good reason for them to be there but why in the back yard with a chipper out front?

that was his house...that is what I am asking...it must have been 6 trucks there...if not more...
I was just curious...could not get them to come to my house and cut any trees down from my yard....
like you said...could be a good reason...
he is on the electric board...maybe that is one of the perks...

Because I don't know, is LES allowed to be on private property doing any type of work unless it is for the setting of an electric pole or to trim branches away from the electric lines. Trucks in the backyard. Something doesn't seem right about that unless his service comes in from the back but if he lives on the Fayetteville Highway I would think his service comes from the street in front of his house not his backyard! Say he is on the LES board of directors?

They could have been doing several different things, one possibility is installing a security light on the property, payed for by the individual, total install done by LES. Another thing, I have lines in the front of my property, but only cable actually attaches there, my actual electrical line comes from the other side of the property invisible to the front. LES came out with 3 trucks (and a marked police car for traffic control while they CUT DOWN TREES to get in my back yard.)

Nobody said anything was wrong just the issue that it was done at a councilman backyard who just happens to be on the LES board. Stranger things have happened in government, just asking.

I have power lines in front and in back going to the to the house next door. They have been here several times over the yrs trimming the limbs to keep them from growing out over the power lines. Not a big deal people !

how about this take a drive to his house , walk around back, look to see were trees were cut and were the lines are, that should answer your concern. really why rant and start untrue facts when all you have to do is take 10 min drive. now i say put up or shut up go take a look, then report back your findings

So no big deal if the city was overcharged for street lights for 6 or 7 years did any city council man even ask if any other customers were over charged also?
Has tree cutting, trimming, special lights located in some public officials back yards, on buildings or poles at driveways been happening all along till it's just what some people expect?

Now here is my question or thought for you. Would LES do the exact same thing for ANY other citizen of the city as what must have been done for this councilman. If the answer is yes, then there is not one single problem and all is good, but if anyone is turned down then there is a very big problem in more than one way. I know Rev. Thomas would not think anything is corrupt here and he probably paid to have that service done.
