Compare last years money to this year they are BROKE! To many hands in cookie jar! Thieving, backstabbers is all that is out there. TDS couch talked up a girl for all stars and never voted for her at all but lead parents to believe she was gonna make it. His daughter didn't even make it with votes. They had to add her hand picked by head coach. Which his step daughter didn't get votes either and had to be picked up. They are all a JOKE. Kissin each others A%$!! Its a shame!

The boys is the same way!! I am so sick and tired of the coaches being allowed to stack their teams, in other towns they are only allowed to have so many previous all stars on one team. Not here they are allowed to have a entire team of all stars. Then they are allowed to wheal and deal and trade the kids. Then you have to be in the click to have a kid on the All Star team, there are only a hand full of kids that really deserve it. Then we have all star coaches that are going around telling the other coaches who to vote for. That is BS!!! The money, you tell me. I know how much me and mine spend out there!

MY position will be open in October! I just hope you can do more than I could out there! OH and if you want us all out why have you not been at the last elections wanting a position because we beg people ever year to help us out, but all we get from you people on here is complaining. You will get what you want. Myself and many more will not be back next year! Then will you be happy? Hope you can scrap up enough people to help run that league the way you see fit! Have you volunteered any of your time to do anything out there this year? Hope you are ready to run the league next year, and give up all your family time! I have and this is the thanks you give me and the rest of the board by getting on here and staying we do a bad job! THANKS YOU ALL YOU DO FOR US!!!!!!!!!! I hope this moves you to get involved in your league and help out some and maybe the ball park will still be a great place to be in a few years.

The MC youth baseball softball league is the most corrupt of any I every seen. It is crooked from top to bottom. Susan you may leave but that is not enough. you can be certain that most will be back. They will lie cheat and steal to get there. No I am not a mad parent just someone who enjoys watching friends and family kids. First of all the park is dirty more than it has ever been. Second you got people coaching who shouldn't even be allowed around kids. One I saw get in a fight at the babe ruth park and then a few nights later got thrown out at the little league park. why is he allowed to coach much less two teams. All stars are a complete joke as are most teams . Nothing but parents putting their own kids above everyone elses. In most cases their kids are not that good. Money flying out the window at the park and kids leaving to play in other towns. So good ridance to you SS . Just hope all of the boards follow in your footsteps but don't count on it

I agree, but all that will change in time. When these kids get older Dad can not pad baseball positions forever!

Hey Susan, I'll put my name on here too. I have some good things and some bad things to say, but I won't hide from you.

The girls had a blast this year. I really enjoyed coaching my team this year because my girls were smiling and having a great time. We had a good season finishing second in the 8U league. The coach's meetings were actually productive this year (compared to what I heard in the past). It seemed like everyone was on the same page.

Concerns/Suggestions - There needs to be a pitching machine for softball and one for baseball. You and Bobby (more Bobby) seemed agitated when we had to adjust the machines for 15 mintues before the first game to get it right. We tried to move as quickly as possible, but it throws the schedule off. Speaking of the schedule. We need to schedule games for an hour and a half a piece. A 1 1/2 hour game cannot be played in a 1 hour time slot. Parents get pretty pissed off when they show up and sit for an hour before the game actually starts. Don't get mad at me for saying this, but we really need to explore the possiblity of getting out of Cal Ripken. We have one other team for softball we can play for a State title, Warren County. We would love to be able to play more teams around the State before sending our girls to the SE Regionals. A team can practice day in and day out, but as a coach you don't really know how to position players until they are in a game situation. It doesn't leave very much room to make those decisions. As for the money, folks who aren't involved with the league wouldn't know about Charter fees, paying umpires, lights, water, maintaing the fields, ect. It would be great to see a budget breakdown on the website.

I would have come to you in person to discuss these things, but I wanted to do it on here because I am hoping others will make suggestions too. Our kids love to play ball. Otherwise they would be doing something else. My daughter is a ball player. She loves playing and being out there with her friends. She is my main concern when it comes to this league, and she is pretty happy with it (although she doesn't see all of this, LOL).
I hope you take my thoughts into considerationa and I would love to speak with the board and share my thoughts and concerns with everyone. Thanks Susan for the work you put into this league.

Well one thing that needs to be cut down on is the children of the officers running in and out of the concession stand. They run in and out getting drinks etc. for them for their friends and so on, and they do not pay for them! There only needs to be 2 hands to touch the money Treasurer and President. The food needs to stay at the park and officers need to stop taking it home! And the rules need to apply to EVERYONE not everyone except for a few. These are a few things that would stop all the complaining.

I just have one question, the T-Ball teams did not keep score this year so what gave Wiser's body shop the right to put their pictures in the paper & say they were #1. If there was no score keeping NO_ONE WAS # 1!
why

Can someone tell me why Marshall County changed for being a member of the Little League Association to that of the Cal Ripkin League. I played during the 70's and it was the little league. I have been told there was a falling out with the little league association over how all star teams were chosen and how many it had to be but don't know that that is true. Others said they changed because it would be easier to win a state championship? Who knows?

yes i agree with what you are saying and every year you learn what needs to be changed and work on that for the next year. The pitching machine did make the games lots longer and that is something to take a look at for next year. We did have one for boys and one for girls. but sometime the wrong one got grabbed sorry but like i said all of this in new and will work much better next year. thanks for your concerns and I will asure you they will take a look at this for next year. thanks for all your help

Susan Sisk, where is our money???? Why is the league "broke", because it shouldn't be unless the treasurer has mismanaged our money!

Like everything in Marshall County, it's all about politics. The change goes back to the fall of 2008 when Roger "Jaber" Giles was named State Commissioner of TN with Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken. So the powers that be, changed from what had worked for many, many years and went to Cal Ripken. But even then, they don't play by all of the Cal Ripken rules. They use the local option to tweak how the game is played here. If Cal Ripken is so great, then use their rules 100% of the time. If not then find a better option. http://www.marshalltribune.com/story/1472392....
