Yes, this is correct. As far as Tim, he is no family relationship. He's just a guy that tells tall tales and the Smith family has been helping out for years.

[My Opinion]

I have a question is and Historic Building that has been restored with funds designed for that be used for an office building by the city, don't you think it is time the city stopped using the Women’s Rest Room building for a Flood Water office and move the flood water department in with the Water Department or back where it came from the City Hall next door to the city manager!

Looks like a taxi business would do well in Lewisburg maybe get it subsidizes by the city’s industrial board; to operate out of the Lewisburg Airport does Lewisburg have a Taxi service from the local air port to town?
What about local drunks at night or on week ends how can or do they get around? What about car rentals out of the local Ellington Air Port? Does Lewisburg have a prostitution ring or local escort service? How can Lewisburg ever grow without all that, I have heard they have a dump right next to town.

A real taxi service don't work night or week ends and don't go out side city limits, don't even run back or forth to the local Elington air port

Go to Spring Place Autos behind the ambulance station for a used car. I bought a car there for my son. Great service and price. Love the car!

Before you buy a car or Truck you might ride by all local Lewisburg City Fire Department Lots watch both sides of the road some times the deals are across the street on the old Service Station lot they may have a real good Deal too.

There was a nice looking Truck out front the Fire Station on the Moresville Hwy yesterday at the Fire Station lot on the Road the Landfill is on
just above Save O Lot Store.

You all come on out, they may have a deal too, their over head is low and no buyers fees, or added costs, I have been told.

If I did own a business in Lewisburg or Marshall County I sure would want to know why that my local County officials were trying to figure out a way to help new private business financing open up to be in competition with me and not at the same time help me stay in business to meet and compete with my new competition they are helping open up.
Who helped the private grocery stores and restaurants in Lewisburg, Chapel Hill and Petersburg open up or remodel why just Cornersville?
It would seem if the got all that extra money in an account at the local industrial board they would apply it back to the general fund and there by figure a way to lower property taxes and help us all, for lower property taxes would help local business stay in business and also encourage new business to open up.

As to private land that can't be used to build on donated to the city or even the VFW is it not then taken off the tax roll and the county and city no longer collect the property taxes off it?

Owning a business in Lewisburg is so hard. They tax us to death. Then when money is available to help us, they use it to try and bribe new fools to come here. They need to fix what is broken here first. Then maybe we would not have to pay people to bring new business here. Sounds like good business to me!! BUT, what do I know? I am just a working stiff out here trying to make a living.

I'm a friend of a business owner in lewisburg, and never see it this bad. The square looks really bad, no one shopping on the square anymore, for anything, half the stores are gone or out of business, or just not open for some reason. The business people need prayer.

You are right, we need many prayers. Things are very bad in the business world of Lewisburg right now. The really sad thing is that we don't see much light at the end of the tunnel

[What to Do]

More public Auctions should be held on the Square on Saturdays to draw crowd’s city and county surplus vehicle and equipment sales or even large Flea Markets.
That hole in the wall needs something done may be the city could buy it or past Mayor could donate it for a public park or Prayer Garden with statues of past public Officials we all could pray about.
Why not dig a hole and have a fish pond call it Lewisburg Lake.
