OUR BEST BET

Anyone can say anything. Having the ability to do it is a total different ballgame.
Let's just imagine I ran for mayor.
I could say; as your mayor, I will get good paying jobs for everyone. There will be a new car in every driveway and everyone will be heard and everyone will get their way. Want to elect me too?
No it all starts with a good leader and people with good attitudes. You my friend have a bad attitude and I haven't heard anything worth a flip about your man. Who is he anyways?
It seems to me and all who read, you just have a personal beef with the williams and milli in particular. Maybe I was wrong in correcting you, maybe you are a loser.
I know business and I know bill williams knows business, so that is where my bet is.

why will no one answer this,? you cant can you?

lets get back to the question that keeps getting passed by: what is williams plan, and how does he plan to do it? the questions in the paper were answered best by farrar, and it looked as if the answers bill gave came from farrars prior ads, bingham, well not much to say there other then HE IS NOT FOR THIS TOWN? the same could be said for bill, how is it he only repeated what farrar already put out., no matter who gets in we will have to support, like or not, a job has to be done, save lewisburg from the roberts

I am sure Bill has a good plan, he is a "real" businessman. Nobody can go into a situation with a lock clad plan if they are not shown all the cards. If your man has "a plan" great, goodie for him...but is it realistic plan? and know it or not, things change once you get all the facts.
You will find out the council has more power with getting things done, than the mayor. I know Bill Williams is good at bringing people together, communicating with outsiders who can help us.... and your man.... well all we really have to go by is; his bazaar signs he posted off the square that sent a message or two but brought embarrassment to our already hurting city.
It was viewed by locals and visitors alike. It really makes businesses and locals who have money and can decide where they want to live, think twice. Did your man not argue with the city a time or two? I am asking, not telling. I am sure if they did, they disagreed with him for a reason at that time and nothing should of changed since because it is still the council against him, isn't it?
Come on...level with your buddy here; you weren't promised anything, were you? For the record, nothing is in it for me, never had a reason to call the mayor's office in the past and don't expect to in the future. Just think Bill Williams is a good man and will be good for the city.

You are not very smart. If the Roberts were running this town, we just might be successful and not in the mess that we find ourselves in now.

Bill is the smart choice in this election. Some looking for free stuff or thinking farrar is going to change things around for the good may be in for a big surprise.

Anyone can say what they want to do, I go with the person who is capable of doing it, not just talking about it. Farrar said he wanted to clean up the square. So has every other mayor and we even have a downtown alliance which focuses on it.

You have to stand back and ask yourself: who in the running has personal property on the square?

Secondly, I know Bill williams is extremely concerned with the square, but Bill William's concerns extend away from the square too.

Lewisburg is more than a square and Bill Williams wants to see Lewisburg be what it once was.

If he is interested on cleaning up the square he should start with his own building. It's an eye sore by any standards. Looks trashy.

If somehow elected, I am just wondering. How would mike farrars bail bondsman job work if he is mayor? Could there be a conflict of interest here? Help me out, I may not understand the process.

I can't see that there would be any conflict of interest. Perhaps I'm missing something. Explain to me how you feel the two positions could become intertwined.

yes there is a conflict. If he is mayor and head of all city depts. one of which is the police dept. If the city police arrest someone and farrars bonding company posts his bond for money then it is a conflict of interest. Was told if elected it will be brought up in court and the council.

No that has already been addressed with an attorney and there is nor will be a conflict of interest if he is elected .. try again the math was already done before he even entered the election . tell whoever told you it will be addressed with the court and council that there is nothing to address..you people will do anything to slander the underdog

Not that he would be the one, but will he be in charge? I don't know and you could be right. I thought the city manager was in charge. Maybe someone in the know can answer this. That would be a bit scary and time consuming if true.

Is that the real answer? Nashville IP seems to be the same ole person, sometimes not too nice. This would not be who we think it is, is it? Either way, someone close to that person would be scary too.

You are wrong again. If Farrar wins the election, he like all other elected officials in Tennessee will have to register with the Tennessee Ethics Commission in Nashville. They will ask what election he won and then to make sure there is no conflict of interest he will have to give them in detail where and how he makes his money with the names of the company or companies and their location. This includes all forms of income regardless of how small. This Ethics Commission after their investigation will determine if there is a conflict of interest and will then act on it if necessary. This has nothing to do with any lawyer he may have spoken to and this Commission is set up by the Tennessee General Assembly for the sole purpose of making sure there is no conflict of interest. The same thing will happen to Binghan or Williams if they win. Its the Law. Again this will only happen if he win the election and has any form of income. This will then go on the state web site and anyone with a name and location can look this information up. It is public. You can check on anyone elected in a office here in Tennessee, city, county or state. Tennessee Ethics Commission of the state web site. Also there is no slander here, just trying to tell you what has to happen if you are elected to an office in Tennessee. I will say the council or court doesn't have anything to do with this.
