Has anyone been approached by a young female riding with some dude in a blue truck, and giving you a story of need of some gas money so they can get to an emergency? I was at Wal-Mart gas station, and like an softhearted fool gave her 5 bucks, but found out later from some others I work with they was asked by this same person for gas money but for other reasons

You should have told them to go to a pump then you'd go to the window and put the $5.- on that pump for them......

The Lewisburg Police were called out there to Walmart at two different times Saturday to look for that couple begging for money. They also said they were driving recklessly in the parking lot and would get mad whenever someone refused to help them. Their license plates came back to a Columbia address.

Who cares either help them or forget it, pleny of people have to beg for a living, or other reasons to get by.

What is the difference in any group begging at some of the stores doors, for ball teams trips, churches, firemen or any other reason?

The difference is one is panhandling and the other is done with permission and usually benefits children or groups that help others.

Panhandling is not always legal and is especially wrong when witnesses claim their excuses (story) changes from one person to the next which means they are just looking for a free ride or dope money.

But it is your money so you can give it away to whomever you want, but don't berate others who correctly judge these thieves for what they are.

Oh, and it could not be Jesus because if it were, we would not be having this exchange. Jesus said when he returns, it will be the end of this age. I wish you would learn the bible, not just spout off words to make yourself look special like the Pharisees did. Those were the religious teachers Jesus abhorred.

With more low income housing will the more low income people move to Lewisburg? With few jobs offered for these people, where else do they have to turn?

So get ready to see more beggers, people who need help, standing on the street corners, parking lots, and stores?

With some Church doors locked, does people now want to call them crooks, if any asking for help begging story changes, does some Lewisburg people want to harress, arest and jail them?

Your Choice! Help them! if u can or don't put remember "Lazarus and the Rich Man!"

What is the difference between a beggar and a thief? It was obvious what Lazarus was. It was also obvious what the two in the pickup were up to. Are you comparing the people here to the rich man? If so, you are judging them unjustly as you have no idea what they may give elsewhere. A fool and his money are soon departed.

Don't be so quick to judge others. Jesus had much to say about being wise and not foolish. What church do you go to?
