As long as you don't have a complicated tax situation, I highly recommend using the free version of turbo tax. It takes about an hour and if you e-file you get your money in about 2 weeks.

Don't throw away a couple hundred dollars to get your money the next day at one if those rip off places. It is really simple to use turbo tax.

I have heard that Tammy's tax is the best. Used to be Rains, but name changed, still same people though. They don't overcharge and they do things right.
is it free

I've used Looney's Tax service for years. Quick, personal and knowledgable. They are off of the square.

When Looney's tax service was not doing efile I tried to use Turbo tax, but because some of that can be complicated to understand I did not get all the dedcutions I was entitled too. Looney's tax does efile last few years so I go there and I've always gotten more than I ever did filing it myself with Turbo. He is very reasonable. I strongly recommend him.

Turbo tax is good but its not free at all. I've used it the past several years and federal return is free but state is $30-35 and then they charge u $20-25 to process your return so ends up being around 55 total

U can use H and R block and all you have to do is check the free box. It's still guaranteed if you get audited they will back it up. It goes through every question to figure out if you qualify for deductions. We have been using it for several years. Also the IRS offers a free version but I don't know how easy it is to use.
