Strangely the thread on shoplifters at Kroger's seems to have faded away. Even valid news information sometimes gets banned for no reason. This isn't good ole Lewisburg Tn this is the Internet so you may be use to sweeping crime under the rug but it never really ever goes away.

Teacher banned from Kroger for one year for theft and charged with shoplifting.

I had heard about this topic yesterday waiting for my daughter up at the school and forgotten to check when we got home. I think that any teacher that is caught stealing at a local store should be fired if they are to dumb to resign after the fact. I don't want this woman teaching my kids how to steal and lie. She sits a bad example. If she had just accepted her punishment it wouldn't have been as bad but with all of her other issues that's caused her to be out of work I think she needs to be fired and give the job to someone decent. My kids can't look up to someone who file chapter 13 and steals.

Did they took it off to keep people from slandering other people good name?

Should let the person alone before it causes harm to any?
Who knows what mental state any might read or be in?

It's not slander to repeat what the newspapers print. Mental state? That is exactly why these things should not be swept under the rug. They sweep these issues under the rug until the person flips out and does some real damage. Look at the shooter in Colorado who had a mental health figure ignore the signs and warned no one. He left the school so they just swept it under the rug to protect the University. Way to go!!

This is a well known forum and as most all forums of these types, people say all sorts of ugly things. If you go to sexual porn shop what do you expect to see? If you go to a tire store what do you expect to see? If you come here you should expect to see people write all sorts of stupid ugly things.(Like what you do). If you don't like people making fun of you, then you need to stop coming on here or change how you act. You can't change others, but you can change yourself.

If you are a thief or do wrong things in life and you are a higher profile person like a teacher or politician, expect that people are going to say nasty things about you. It may not be nice, it may not be Christian like, it may not be the way you or I like it to be, but it is that way and it will always be that way. It is called expectations. If you eat clam soup, you should expect you might get a shell. That is life. Get use to it or don't come in here.

Nothing that was posted on that thread concerning theft was untrue, hurtful, wrong or unkind. It was simply stating what was already a matter of public records. If it was hurtful to the shoplifter then perhaps since you claim innocence was proven that also was stated on the thread. As for the financial issues, those also are also public knowledge pulled from the records of the state in which the bankruptcy claim was filed in. The other issues were never identified to my knowledge on a forum of any sort. Maybe eating crow a little isn't a bad thing since her employer and the judicial system both allowed her a slap on the hand for repeat conduct not appropriate by an educator or a decent law abiding citizen. You may think its acceptable to lie, cheat and steal but you are in a minority on that one.

So you are leading us to believe there is a mental disorder involved here? Well if this is true a person with a mental disorder would more likely than not be a great choice to be teaching our children! You write as tho you are very close with her so i can only believe you have the inside scoop on her mental issues. It is your job as a citizen of MC and think about the children in her care. With this mental disorder is she is capable of hurting herself ( as you claim) then mist likely she could snap and other teachers, parents, and students could be hurt. This is concerning to me as i thought we just was dealing with a shoplifting mishap, now that there is a mental disorder as well! Perhaps they need to do a mandatory 48 hr evaluation on her mental state?

Just like always if it's someone in the Lewisburg Network it's handled with kid gloves. Let it be the average person and it's ok to print it, discuss it, make them pay unheard of court fees, jail time and kiss of job. Screw you bunch of hypocrites. She's no better than anyone else and from what I hear she's a lot worse.

If she was my child's teacher I think I deserve to know. If a teacher has low morals like steeling not sure that would be a good candidate to teach our young children. If she has that little respect for the law it makes you wonder what else she don't care about.

Don't know the person at all! Can people be cruel when it comes to others feelings! Is any of u acting like the bullies at school?

Don't you people think people of Lewisburg would have learned their lessons from what happened to the preacher who was found floating in Rock Creek?

Was the preacher driven to his death by people who did not care or try too understand others feeling? Was he embarrassed to the point he took his own life?

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't all charges dropped because it was only an accident. Leave it be people. I know her and she has her flaws. I don't think for a second she is a thief. She was on court, they dropped all charges. Innocent until you forget is not how the system works.

So if it was all just an accident why did she get banned? Stores don't ban people for a year because it was an accident. Accidents (like this) don't get written up in the crime section of a newspaper. Accidents don't get all the way to a courtroom. Charges don't get dropped because they were innocent, it is because the prosecution doesn't feel there is "enough" evidence to prosecute. Innocent until proven guilty is only in courts, not a public forum. You and I may not like that, but that is life.

Does those flaws included hanging out at a local beer joint drinking the very week you are scheduled for court? Is that the remorse for being finally caught or mistakingly stealing food? Just wondering here.

Its all about taking responsibility for her own actions. She still apparently hasn't done that because she's out on the town half the night.
