A Lot of construction of roads has been going on as we all know and it's great, but why? New businesses coming in? Faster, easier way to get out of town to look for jobs? Wake up LEWISBURG, we need more jobs for our people...we all are starving, trading, selling food stamp(yes it happens), pawning thing left and right, hauling metal/steele just to eat and try and survive. So what's the deal?

Now we have the roads, we need leadership.
We need someone in the mayors chair who can bring in the jobs so we don't have to use those roads to look for jobs.
I really don't think mike farrrar has the skills or demeanor to convince the folks who bring and generate jobs to come and relocate to our city.

After seriously looking at all those running, the only person out of the entire group that has any real business sense is bill williams. I am not sure what all mf is telling folks but he needs to focus on those who want to work and I don't see that happening.
Looks like he is going for the people whose only reason to vote is to serve themselves with more free stuff and that is not going to happen. Both the federal and local government are tapped out.

For the city to be successful and have people with money to spend locally we need more people pulling the cart, not riding in the cart. Jobs are what we need. After everything is sold through scraping, pawning, trading and those get caught selling food stamps, what else is next? It won't be a pretty situation.
Before we get to that point we need someone with the ability to make a difference through logical means, not someone who promises people unrealistic things just to get their votes. I think our best chance will be with williams.
Not to bash farrrar but just based on actions I have personally seen or read about in newspapers, I think voting for him would be a trainwreck decision for the city.

New roads around Lewisburg looking good why?
Are those new roads going to be use for bigger truck loads of trash, causing more health problems and driving the people here now away?

The state is responsible for those new roads you speak of, not the city. The state maintains highways. I have never encountered so much ignorance from one community. Perhaps the candidates for mayor should focus on better education for the children of Lewisburg. THat is what the community truly needs. Why would a company want to come here if there are not enough educated workers to fill positions.

JB is the only candidate who continues to run a successful business. He has not sold out and he has not moved his business away from Lewisburg. If JB can be successful with his own business in Lewisburg then surely he can run the city. Have any of you tried to run your own business in Lewisburg. Its hard! JB i liked the ad in Fridays paper. Keep on moving forward.

Can you say conflict of interest?

Ask yourself just how successful that business would be without industrial board connections to the city?

Wonder how much he has made off the city of Lewisburg doing work using those connections?

Wonder how much more being Mayor would or could increase the profits of that kind of business?

Can you say conflict of interest?

No you cant! He did not vote to award the contracts he bid on the jobs and was awarded. Are you saying that local business can not bid on local jobs? This is a free country!

Maybe that education should apply to you as well Einstein. Those were federal grants instituted by his majesty to put Americans back to work. What a great job it was indeed. It helped many illegal Mexicans send money back to their country and assisted a handful of small business owners. Other than that it was tax dollars wasted. Careful how you attack others when you appear to be a couple of beers short of a six pack.

Is biding with inside information, direct connections, direct inside contacts, knowledge others might not have, friends in high places, or even if elected Mayor boss over city departments like chairman over the industrial boards, would that not be considered direct conflicts of interest?

How about he like others puts his business into a blind trust operated by a outside party if elected Mayor or remains chairman of the IDB?

Wonder why people hog the public boards years after years being on those same what should be public boards?

Even people on the Industrial board want appointed over and over term after terms 7 years then 7 more that is not fair to the public!

Are there several appointed on that industrial board terms after terms who have the looks of conflicts of interest, as to posible profits in their own business?

If all this is true and you can prove it wouldn't that be against the law? If you can not prove all this then you are just making up rubbish. Just a few more days and you will find out who the voters want as there new mayor. I know one that it will not be. LOL!
