Hi Butthead/Friend,
I have been seeing doves and it made me think of your postings years ago. I hope you are still writing poetry.

Butthead/Friend I am becoming like you with political issues in this city.
My husband is about the same since having strokes. We hope you are in good health and your family, too.
Reading back on the postings is like a picture album of friends. Thanks for the memories.
Posters have moved on with life and I am stuck needing
prayers to a number of things known to God. If you can read this, know that your kindness has been remembered and not forgotten. Please keep me and my husband in prayer.
The spending of our children's future is really happening in this city and nation. I see and live it, now. Several years of it.

Catholic traditions, such as prayers including the Hail Mary and the Lord’s Prayer, baptism, and the sign of the cross were incorporated into voodoo practices.
So, GO AWAY, I can do a voodoo on you, if you like. You have an "itch" word issue. So, you now with begin having hives.

On August 6, 2011 – Voodoo Doughnut broke the Guinness World Record for biggest box of doughnuts at PDX Bridge Festival’s Brunch on the Bridge today on Hawthorne Bridge. Good things come in pink boxes! 3,880 doughnuts, weighing in at 666 pounds (Voodoo Doughnut has the magic touch indeed) were loaded into a giant, pink, cardboard box measuring 7′ x 7′ x 5′.

Lewisburg,TN could use a VOODOO Doughnut business. Police will be there, too. Wouldn't that be a second location for the police dept.? Having a good day. Hope you do too. All of you.

Beautiful! I haven't laughed so much in a long time! I am not laughing at you. Thank you for saying , I need a priest. I say that when someone really is off track. God Bless you child.

Voodoo is not my thing. I read about it this morning to know it is not interesting. Although the setting up an altar for ancestors seems interesting. I know of two cultures that put food on graves. I used to think that was crazy. Where my many ancestors came from has different foods. Setting out foods from countries of where they came from on a small table with a mirror under a glass are on the of water.(Our ancestors are on the other side of the mirror.) After 24 hours, I remove the foods and place it in a cemetery. Cemetery could be symbolic like a spot in my yard. Scandinavian foods will be on my first altar.
My mom called out to her ancestors countless times before she died. It was like she saw them! We have ancestors and they aren't forgotten.
All Hallows Eve is interesting. Having interest is living. It is when not having an interest to be concerned about.

Donuts will have to be on an altar for my grandpa. He loved his grandchildren. He walked across a very busy highway (Airline Hwy. in New Orleans) to buy Krispy Kremes for the grandchildren. He died from lung cancer. My grandma died from TB. I cough daily so I guess I will cough till the day I die. I am living.

Altar foods are nothing new. I know about Altar foods in the Catholic Church and in cultures that did it before Christian Catholic times. Ancestor Worship is not new.
Voodoo of pins and spells is a practice of religion that is extreme. Voodoo, I LEARNED, yesterday also has added Catholic teachings into it. Remember the people in Europe had worshipped long before a Catholic was even born. For the spread of Church THEY embraced the two cultures of Celebrations and mixed them as HOLY DAYS, made by man, NOT GOD!

Veneration of the dead

I just searched and came up on the above site. Pictures of Altars in a few countries. I will return and read more.
There is so much to learn and with the computer we have so many fields of study.
Druids had Priests. Mayans had Priests. Holy Men. Holy Women. Their is nothing new under the sun.

In 1983, my great aunt in a dream told me a recipe and even today that ingredient is very healthful for our bodies. I will share it with you. Ice Cream with Ginger.
Ancestors speak to us. Call on them. Learn how. Jesus sopke to the departed. Visions and Dreams are for a purpose.

Ginger Ice Cream RECIPE

4 large egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup coarsely grated peeled fresh gingerroot
2 tablespoons water
2 cups half-and-half
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup crystallized ginger*

In a large bowl lightly whisk yolks. In a 3-quart heavy saucepan cook sugar, fresh gingerroot, and water over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes. Add half-and-half and bring to a simmer. Add hot half-and-half mixture to yolks in a slow stream, whisking, and pour into pan. Cook custard over moderately low heat, stirring constantly, until a thermometer registers 170°F.(Do not let boil.)

Pour custard through a sieve into cleaned bowl and stir in cream and vanilla. Cool custard. Chill custard, its surface covered with plastic wrap, until cold, at least 3 hours, and up to 1 day.

Finely chop crystallized ginger. Freeze custard in an ice-cream maker, adding crystallized ginger three fourths of way through freezing process. Transfer ice cream to an airtight container and put in freezer to harden. Ice cream may be made 1 week ahead.

Yield: 1 quart of ice cream
