I was told by a co-worker ( so we all know how facts can change when passed from one to another) That it was a young lady named Laura Beard and she was shot with a stray bullet from some folks target practising. I was also told she is in Vanderbilt and still alive. The police ruled it a accident....but are not sure if they are going to press charges. I am not 100% on this info, just what I was told and by someone.

Will the Connersville police be charged of neglect of duty?

Where the Connersville police running radar on I-65 if people were shooting guns in the city limits of Connersville?

Is there not a Law that people cannot shoot guns in the City Limits or Marshall County so that children and women can feel save in their own homes or yards?

Should all Target practice and hunting be done ONLY ON target ranges and hunting preserves?

STOP ALL SHOOTING OF GUNS

EXCEPT ON TARGET RANGES and HUNTING PRESERVES!

Should Marshall County require that all guns be shot only on inspected, licenses, and insured Target Ranges?

Were the Connersville Police when the shooting occurred miles from the City, playing State Trooper running radar on I-65?

Is Connersville protecting its citizens or acting like boss hog’s town, shaking down out of town citizens, traveling?

What if every little town was allowed to set up some called own radar traps on all Interstate Highways across America?

What good does Connersville Police do the town of Connersville, what protection of the residents of Connersville if they are sitting miles from the town of Connersville shooting radar on I-65?

Did one of their own police know how Connersville is run, tried to bring it before the Courts Systems attention, yet is the System protecting the System or what is right for the people?

Should that Policeman be the next Mayor or City Manager of Connersville, if he knows what is wrong then could he help fix it?
All some can say is Thanks for trying, Connersville needs more Police like him!

What if it was your child or wife who got shot?

There should be No shooting except on fully insured, licenses, inspected Target Ranges.

No hunting except on licenses, State, Federal inspected and fully insured hunting preserves!

Has Connersville and Petersburg become known for radar traps, that people avoid both towns and does those radar traps cause small business too suffer and close?

Where were the Connersville Police when guns were being shot to far away to even hear those gun shots, were they miles from town over on the I-65 interstate running radar?

Does Connersville’s town insurer allow that kind of liability risks?

What protection do the citizens of the small town of Connersville receive if their local police run radar on I-65 interstate, 5-10 miles from the town itself?

Was the Connersville police neglect in their duty to the citizens of Connersville by if running radar on I-65 when that woman was shot?

By all means, let's create more government jobs in order to have inspectors for shooting ranges! And then lets add insult to injury by hiring inspectors (State, Federal) for hunting preserves. I can't believe this is coming from a man who is constantly bitching about government spending!!!!

Taxes and business licenses collected from Hunting preserves and shooting ranges could fund those types of programs as well as create small business, creating jobs and making the public alot more safe.

Anything to protect the women and children from being shot by stray bullets coming from back yard unregulated shooting, so called back yard target pratice.

Creating jobs is all we here well here is a job or use the Cornersville police instead of running radar on I-65 for that job as to protect the public.

Taxes and business licenses wouldn't begin to pay the expenses of setting up a new government entity for inspections....besides you mentioned federal and state inspections.

I will be the first to agree that Cornersville police have no business ON the interstate unless they are called by the THP, but they could have been sitting in the middle of town and not have prevented what appears to be a tragic accident.

Thats right we need more people to watch over us. What happened to the days our grandparents lived in where a accident was just that. That is what is wrong with government today. Got a problem, throw money at it.

Who may be shot next some child or passing car all back yard shooting should be stopped and legal, licenses, insured inspected gun ranges established!

What would some say if it was their wife or child shot because of unregulated back yard shooting or hunting?

Marshall County should only allow hunting on legal, licenses, insured inspected hunting preserves and legal safe Shooting Ranges.

Back in the old days we would have tarred and feathered the dumbass who didn't have proper control of his firearm, well at least kicked his ass and taken his guns. An idiot like that who doesn't respect a weapon doesn't need one.

Does ruling it an accident mean this guy gets off free? Are the family of the shot girl going to have to sue to get any justice?

Is there not a law that says guns, weapons cannot be fired in the city limits, not near roads or in residential areas, if not should there be?

Who may be next some children playing on school grounds, passing cars with children or women in those?

Marshall County needs private owned license, fully private insured and State, and Federal regulated controlled shooting ranges, even private owned hunting ranges!

Why if the City of Lewisburg provides a place to fish, play ball and golf don't they also provide a place to hunt which is the most dangerous sport when it comes to others public safety?

Whether or not there is a law it's just plain common sense when you handle a weapon.

A shooting range would actually be a good idea for Lewisburg, i'll bet there are more shooters than golfers.Take a chunk of the community center golf course and turn it into a shooting range.

Having a dedicated shooting range won't help with all dumbasses though, you'll still have some idiot thinking his weapon is a toy. Can't fix stupid.
