No need to describe yourself to me. I am WELL aware of who you are. Such a shame you accuse me of being nasty for typing AH, but let yourself off with a nonchalant "I really gave someone a lashing...needed at the time". Did you snicker when you said that? So you DO apply a double standard for yourself... tisk, tisk. I'm not surprised. It's okay if only you approve it, right? Don't think I would let that go without a comment, did you?

Since you are now a new found atheist, I can see you will adopt the attitude of "I have morals just like any Christian"... except when I don't want them. Yes, I can see you are going down the path of the double standard moral atheist. Such a shame. I know quite a few of those. And they wonder why their lives suck.

I thought you said you needed a break from me? Didn't last long, did it? Again I am not surprised. I know you well. You change your mind faster than a little girl changes clothes.

I feel content for the first time in my life. Letting go is what I needed to do. I am glad I did.

I was all set to look up that publisher in my Writers Market book and give you the information you needed, but you just lost that opportunity when you decided to accuse me of attacking you on your other thread. If you haven't read my response yet, be sure to do that so you understand.

Besides, your promising to stay off Topix is a worthless promise as you have lied too many times for me to trust you. Enjoy that good feeling while it lasts.

Oh yeah... those side effects. They're just like the ones you get when you moved out of your father's house. No more having to be told what to do and how to do it. No more having to obey the rules. I remember that well. But you know just like I do, there are consequences to everything we do. But don't fool yourself into misunderstanding what is really making you feel good because what makes you feel good today can make you feel miserable tomorrow. It is like being faced with an important big exam in school. It worries you more and more as the day approaches. Then, the teacher says the exam has been canceled. Oh what a grand feeling that relief is to know you won't have to take it. Then the teacher says, we will take the exam later, but it will be a little harder so be sure to study!! Enjoy that good feeling.

I look forward to my Father's house. What are you looking forward to?

Now, concerning this link you posted. Here is where they fool the unsuspected:

They say: "Many religious people have been told for years that a loss of faith is followed by a loss of all hope and joy. When that turns out not to be the case, and the world is every bit as beautiful and life as precious and worthwhile as it was the day before — for a lot of new atheists, it’s a very pleasant surprise."

The problem with this is all in the timing. The loss of hope and joy is not immediate. No one said it would be. The loss of hope and joy comes at the time of death and what will happen next. Feeling happiness and joy in the presence without God is not uncommon at all. And why should it be? The sun shines on the good as well as the bad. The surprise comes later. If you are lucky, your last moment will be in bed with a conscious mind when you can always change your mind. And many do. If you are not lucky, you probably will fall unconscious or perhaps even die quickly from an accident or heart attack. Then there probably wont be time to change your mind. Too late.

But over all, this quote is total BS in that they attempt to make you believe that giving up God means clear sailing ahead when belief in God has nothing to do with how our lives are filled with happiness or sorrow. And they do that with everything. They make it sound like peeing in a dark suit makes you warm all over is a good thing. But they don't tell you that later on it's going to make you feel cold and miserable. Take a good look at the people in the world who are avowed atheists and you will find many miserable souls.

And you do know I can find just as many Youtubes that describe accredited people who switched from being an Atheist to Christian. These are people with PHd's and Doctors...

"Wretched: An atheist professor converts to Christianity."

"Ph.D. Turns from Atheism to Christ"

"From Atheist To Christian Dr Olasky"

I'm an Atheist after reading this sh**.
Then Nathan went home. And the Lord caused the baby boy who was born to David and Uriah’s wife to become very sick.
Premeditated murder of a baby by the Lord.
Baby killer.

2 Samuel 12:15
A man saw a horrible thing and because of what he saw, he no longer wanting to live and killed himself. When the others saw the dead man they asked what happened. They explained the man had thought he saw something happen that didn't and killed himself. If he had only looked into it or asked questions he would have learned the truth and not killed himself.

You are that man.

You accuse God of premeditated murder. Here is how that is wrong on many levels.

IF God indeed exists then he created that life. Therefore, he did not take the life of the child, he took the child away from it's father who DID have a another man murdered. The child is only dead in the Earthly sense, but very much ALIVE in the spiritual sense. God is spiritual. When we die, IF we are as innocent as that child was, we go to a much better place than this. God punished David by taking the child away that he did not deserve. But later, after David made things right with God, the Lord gave David another child and another chance.

God cannot murder as he does not take away the soul of a person. The person, through how they live their life on Earth, are reassigned a new place after they die. Many who accept this go to heaven. If they don't accept it, that is between them and God.

It is too bad you make decisions that are not based on knowing the WHOLE story but on poorly made assumptions.

That is problems with athiests. they are worse than misguided believers because they disbelieve what they dont even understand. professional athiests as I call them can seem very convincing to the unsuspected and those who do not understand Godly things. dont be fooled by them. search it out for yourself. they have a agenda because they hate all religion without any real proof they are right.

Here where your lack of knowledge fails you again. You do not know or understand Jewish customs or what slavery meant in their culture. It is nothing in the sense of what Black slavery was in the US civil war era. In many cases the slaves sold themselves to the owner. In other cases they were prisoners of war. Hebrews slaves had to be released after 7 years and if a non-Hebrew slave converted, the same was done for them. Records indicate that laws strongly discouraged any unethical treatment of slaves.

So if you had it in your head of any comparison to how black slaves were treated, you are wrong. It was nothing of the kind. That is a problem of many people today, they have no knowledge of the culture and customs back then and make too many wrong assumptions instead of looking it up and finding the truth.

Why are you so ignorant? Because you have no knowledge of what you talk about. If it is such insanity to you, why do you bother bringing it up? It is a shame when people can't take the time to find out the truth, but instead readily eat up lies because it satisfies their prejudices. Oh well, ignorance begets ignorance. It's worked for years, so why not perpetuate it?
